C300 Painted Rear Diffuser...MUCH Better Now!

Just got my 2015 C300 back from the MB dealership...had them paint the rear diffuser gloss black (as if the car was black). I just wasn't a fan of the rear diffuser coming stock from the factory painted the same color of the car itself, especially in the lighter colors. Kind of matches the black gloss pano roof now...cool!

All total...including the free loaner for 3 days...was only $125, a bargain if you ask me. WAY less expensive than buying an aftermarket diffuser.

Wow that looks fantastic! Did they have to remove it in order to paint it?

for $125 I doubt they would remove it, paint it then put it back on.

I was never a fan of the color coded difuser gloss black looks much better, I was planning to do the same with my polar white when it comes next week but now I will be getting the c63 diffuser & tips.

I guess it's a problem for light coloured cars as I don't even notice it on mine.

Yes they did remove the rear diffuser to paint it...I bet that's why I got such a good price since it saved them time not having to mask the rear of the car. I considered removing the rear diffuser myself, but the ends under the exhaust tips where they connect to the rear quarter panels are pop-riveted...everywhere else it just snaps on.

Can't recognize the tiny fins anymore; I think they should've been painted using a darker shade of black (compared to the rest of the diffuser, and possibly the fake grill).

Depending on the lighting and/or angle...you can actually see the fins. Here's a closer picture with different lighting...and I also downloaded a better picture in my first post:

I was considering polar white and plastidipping the diffuser as the diffuser on my C63 is a matte black anyway. Decided on black exterior in the end though.

I didn't know the sport trim was not painted black. My non-sport came black from the factory:
