Involving Siri

Anyone figure out a reliable way to invoke Siri on their iPhone when its connected to their W205 (w/ Command 20)?

Sometimes pressing the home button on the phone or saying "Hey Siri" works for me, but usually it doesn't, instead I get "Call Ended" on the command screen before I get a chance to say anything.

Seems to generally work if I am parked, but I think I was only able to use Siri once so far when moving.

Guessing there is some subtle thing I am missing (maybe it is all in the wrist).

Thanks

Amazon/eBay have a few different bluetooth 'siri' buttons that seem to work well. I use 'hey siri' personally. Phone is usually plugged in for long trips (which are actually pretty rare for me) or I use my watch when on shorter trips.

I have one of those buttons, but it doesn't help. The issue isn't getting Siri started (though it would be nice if MB made that easier) I think the issue is once Siri is going the car disconnects its microphone from the phone.

According to MY16 owners guide you can now hold down the speech button on the steering wheel to invoke Siri.

I tried this on MY15 s205 with the latest software but it doesn't work.

That will be great! On my 2012 E350 Coupe, accessing Siri is a pain the patooty. Yes it is!

You can try holding down the home button for the entire time you are speaking with Siri. I used that technique in my last car.

I can't get this to work my MY16 w205 without command. It always activate the NAV. Does it require command to work?

Best to check the online owners manual but yes I believe this requires COMAND as only that system has full voice recognition.

Only seems to exist with Command. But there is no need for full voice recognition, if I press the home button on the iPhone I can use Siri through the mic and speaker of the car. It is only the activation that doesn't work.

Thats the point of the Ops post. Invoking Siri. We know you can use it via bluetooth. Its starting Siri without having to hold the phone on the move.

The current manual for the C class states you can hold down the voice button to activate the likes of Siri. I have the MY15 and it certainly doesn't work for me.
