I'll say it...congrats! I may be going in to order a c300 today as well. I am torn on polar white or palladium silver with the night styling package. If you don't mind me asking, how much of a discount off MSRP did you get?

Thanks! I don't have a clue what the out the door price will be just yet. I've bought more cars from this dealer than I have toes and fingers, and we just negotiate when the car comes in. I'm expecting about 10% off MSRP though. I'm not financing it. I'm just paying for it up front. I'm tired of leasing and having nothing to show for it other than driving a nice car.

Good luck with your order. On the paint, I've almost always had either white, black or red Mercedes. I do resent paying an extra $720 for metallic paint, but it was just time for something different. And the Red Cranberry leather with Palladium Silver is just such a great combination in my opinion.

Pop back in and let us know how your order goes!

I have a Magnetite Black C250 right now and it's a love/hate relationship. When the car is clean I fall in love every time I see it. Then I drive it literally a day or two and the paint will show you every dust particle in Texas. I take really good care of my paint and am kind of self-taught at detailing, but the color just shows the dust and swirls so easily.

My top 3 paint colors right now are probably Polar (free!), Palladium, and Iridium. I will definitely spring for the cranberry interior regardless of my exterior. Oh...and night styling!

I know what you mean about black. My 2012 E350 Coupe is the free black. When it's washed and waxed, it's stunning. Give it an hour or so though and it shows every bit of dust and dirt it comes in contact with. Plus, it's just plain ugly after running on rain soaked roads. I think the Palladium Silver will be a bit more forgiving when it comes to showing dirt. At least I'm really hoping it is!

Congrats! Good for you on getting such a early build date just a few weeks away from yesterday. I thought it says three months for them to do special orders

I believe I am the third decade of October, so they are expecting it mid-November! I had to line it up with the end of my c250 lease.

What my dealer did, was reconfigure an already allocated car they had ordered as part of their allocation. If they had done it as a special order, it wouldn't be built until November, with December delivery.

It helps to have bought a lot of cars from the same dealer!

They actually did the same thing for me (reconfigured a diamond silver into my polar white) but for some reason we got error messages when we tried to push it up to to October delivery. Also they suggested the closer we get to November, the better the incentives might be. My birthday is late October, so it kind of stinks it might not be here for a birthday gift to myself...

I try to time my orders for December because the winter event usually includes a $2000 price reduction from MBUSA corporate, and then you get additional dealer incentives.

Well fingers crossed, it comes early and you do get a GREAT Birthday Gift!

Usually, the Winter event starts in the November/December time frame and yes, the dealer incentives are often really good.

Congratulations! I got mine last weekend. Believe it or not, I am using the current speed in the HUD quite a lot. This one is a lot quicker than my previous one so it helps to know what speed I am driving at.

Point is, add HUD if you can, it is a one button switch off if you do not like it. I liked the next turn in HUD as well especially in a completely new city, where I picked the car from.

@Zenyatta - I agree a HUD is invaluable. Once you use a HUD, you will never want a car without one. Does the speed limit show up on the HUD. Is it on the NAV screen?

Unfortunately no and no. At least I have not seen that option in the three days I have had the car. It would be great.

My 10 year old standalone Garmin can do it though and I find it very useful. So not sure if the SD card based Garmin can do it.

Congrats on getting yours last week! I thought long and hard about HUD. In the end, most of my driving is city and with all the other options I had added, I just couldn't justify adding anymore. But, I'm really glad to hear the HUD is something you really like!

MY16 C300
Although the scheduled delivery of my MY2016 C300 is "end of September or early October", I just found out today that it has been shipped. I'm told it could arrive any day. Although that probably means a couple of weeks from now (afterall, it has to cross the US/Canada border to get here), it's still ahead of schedule.

Getting excited.
