Scraped 18" wheels

Hey man, sorry to see this. First question though, did you get wheel insurance? If so maybe just let MB handle it. There are also third party people that drive around in mobile rigs that will do this while you wait. I'd google that too. You can also call MB and ask who they use and go there directly for a price.
Otherwise there is a lot of info out there on DIY how to fix curb rash. Some involves grinding with a dremel or using filler compound and repainting. I recommend googling and you'll find more than I can give you here but here is a good article:

You can buy the matching paint for our wheels online. Good luck and if you fix it let us know.

If you want fix it in 100% than you need dianond cut whole wheel. It means you need to send wheel to some specialist, they gonna stip it, cut it and laquere it, but takes a few days. There are mobile repairs which can fix it in 90% on a site and takes 30 mins, they gonna polish a spot and laquere it.

Thanks. I don't have wheel insurance. That's why I want to see if there is a DIY before send it out. And my car is a lease, just have to past inspection but it's a long time from now.

I'd ask your dealer. Almost all of them have a wheel 'guy' they use to take care of curb rash and the price is typically very reasonable.

It's called curb rash and most well known shops can repair it for $80-$100 a wheel in under an hour. I wouldn't fret and maybe you should wait until closer to your lease return to do it in case you manage to curb them again in the next 2-3 years.

Easy fix for about a hundred bucks. Looks new when done, at least with the guy I've used. If you're leasing and it's a little scratch like that it's up to you, but you should fix them before you give it back to MB.

Ask your dealer. I know here in Toronto the dealer will have a guy come in to the dealership and refinish customers wheels for about (don't quote me on this) $150.00 per wheel.

Yes, the problem is the dealership is usually reluctant to give out this information. The dealership would definitely want to make a profit as a middleman. This applies to clear bra, window tinting, wheel repair, etc.
The real cost is about $100-120CAN per wheel But the dealership would charge you $200.

I think Clifford is driving the point that the 'occurrence' or the relative probability of curb-rashes, that they directly correlate to a wheel size; the larger the wheels, the more curb-rashes you get. This is not to say that you are going to remain rash free with 17", or that you should quit ordering 19 inchers
its simply stating that while enjoying a pimper ride (with a bigger wheel), these are some of the sacrifices one needs to be prepped as well.

Lego, I have 18" wheels and regrettably have had several small rashes similar to yours. I repaired them myself using several progressively finer sandpapers. It's not as good a fix as a professional would do, but the damage is no longer noticeable.
