I did some research on this subject and was wondering if anyone on here might have done the retrofitting of the back up camera for the 2015 C300. I was at Keyes Mercedes in Van Nuys and they gave me a great deal on a car I wanted, problem is the multimedia package is without the rearview camera. The salesman told me that they refer their customers who want to add it to a local shop who can do it for $650. Has anyone in that area taken up on the offer? I asked for the shop's name and contact to do my own research on them before making the decision, but i'm a little hesitant to have shops working on a brand new car. Any help is much appreciated.

Are you sure your car came with the Multimedia package? The 2015 C300 with Multimedia includes the rear camera standard in the package.

Dealers can order the multimedia package without the camera (just as they can order the camera by itself)
OP, my advise is just deal with the missing camera. That's what I'm doing despite having one on a Ford 8 years ago. There's simply no way an aftermarket camera will work as well as an OEM one, and there's no way to retrofit an OEM one into the car.

Maybe they can order command without the backup camera, but if the OP paid for the Multimedia package as a package, it should have come with the backup camera. It's a standard part of the package. Hence my question as to whether he paid for the "Multimedia Package" or if it just came with Command.

Thank you for all the inputs guys. My understanding is that the backup cameras were back-ordered so the later produced vehicles were shipped without them. It states on the invoice as "Multimedia Package without rearview camera". It has all other features except the camera. The price is also discounted from the full price of multimedia, I can't remember the figures exactly but I believe it is $2,1xx.xx or around there.
The shop that they are referring me to is Audionics in Reseda. I am contemplating on just living without the option since I rarely use it on my current car.
I had heard about them being out of review cameras, but I just assumed they delayed cars until they had them. It's good they reduced the package price and given that it's very difficult to add one to an already built car, I'd do as you're thinking and just live without it.
