I am planning to have my bumper, hood and fenders and mirrors wrapped in the 3M Scotchgard Pro Series PPF. I live in Toronto and we have bad road conditions especially during the winter time.
Have any of you guys had your car protected with paint protection film?
I've had it applied to my 2015 C300, and on my last four vehicles with no issues (no yellowing, or cracking, or peeling). Keeps the front-end of the car looking like new!
I've never had it applied to the headlight lens, so i can't speak for that.

nice! do you do the whole hood or partial? I don't like seeing the line on the hood but the extra cost of getting the full hood is making it acceptable.
I am definitely planning to have this done. I think my dealer has a company that they work with that will do it at the dealership. Do you guys know about how long it takes to do the parts that you mentioned?

I personally wouldn't have the dealer do the work. They are just looking to mark up the job and give it to the company that offers them the lowest cost.
Find a shop that offers premium PPF like 3m Scotchgard Pro series, XPEL Ultimate and decide which one you prefer.

Good point... I like the idea of having it done at the dealer before I ever drive the car and get any nicks on it, but it would be a good idea to check all of my options.
I had the full hood, front fenders, bumper, headlights, mirrors, rear fender splash area, inside of the door handles, rear bumper area at the trunk opening, and the rear door sills (to protect against my dogs' nails) wrapped in Suntek self-healing film. So far, it's been awesome! It can be waxed the same as paint, you just need to tape any edges to prevent wax build-up.

I usually have just the nose covered in clearbra (front bumper, 12" or so of the hood, outside mirrors), but this time I had them protect the top portion of the rear bumper where it meets the trunk lid.
I always barter down the price and have it done at the dealership. This time I paid $699 for the top of the line self-sealing stuff with a 10 year "no questions asked" warranty.
Maybe I have been lucky, but I have never applied a paint protection on my cars, and they never had any noticeable decay even on the front hood or bumpers. I have to admit, I love frequently (like twice a season) waxing my cars with Maguiar products (no clay, just their best top of line wax sealants). I am suspecting that due to those products, these harmful road particles they mostly glide and slip across without causing much abrasion). I do however plan to use this time some seat covers from the start, since my interior gets decayed quicker due to my 2 bigger dogs. I wish there was something for areas around the inner door handles etc also.
Make sure you do headlights,
I did full frontal, full hood, mirrors, a pillars, rockers, lights, roof front line..etc..
This may help..pricing here in Edmonton (road rash/gravel capital of Canada)
No I did not use them but you get an idea of whats available..enter your model
Any experience (or thoughts) on XPEL Stealth or entire car wraps?
TBH I think wrapping the entire car is only worth it for extremely expensive cars. Personally I would only do it on an exotic or collectors.
The reason being is that the used car buyers of a C450 are probably going to expect a few tiny paint blemishes here and there. They won't all of a sudden be willing to pay thousands of dollars more for your car if it was clearbra'd entirely, which would be different for a rare car buyer. Also, since it will be an old bra they will probably have to pay for removal sometime during their ownership, and removing an entire car worth's of clearbra is pricey (most clear bra warranties don't transfer to new owners).
Finally, rock chips are barely even visible on your Palladium silver car.
I have the full front (hood, bumper, fenders) and side mirrors wrapped with Xpel Ultimate and am very happy with the results. Personally, I would do the whole hood rather than partial. The line will be visible sooner or later. How noticeable will depend on how frequently you care for it.

Looks nice... I think what you had wrapped will be what I go with if I don't wrap the whole car in Xpel Stealth. Could you tell us what you paid?

Just my thoughts though.
+1.
If I was to spend the money to wrap the whole car, I would go with vinyl to give it a different look...like the satin blue W205
With the Xpel Ultimate, full front of the car including the full hood will be in the neighborhood of $1,200 based on the quotes that I got.
That's about what I was thinking... I got a voice mail from one of the shops, but he didn't leave the quote on the message. I'll call him back and see what ballpark he is in... thanks man

I was quoted locally (Pacific NW) for $695 from Highline Customs. The guy told me they actually do all MB local dealers PP and window tint for considerably more from the dealer. I've had my other vehicles and my truck done from them and the stuff is top notch.
Anyway, the $695 included PP on the front fender, the hood (24" cover, not entire hood), the mirrors, door handle cups and rear bumper (where luggage might be placed). On a side note, I was quoted $225 for window tint of all five windows @ 35% and that was only because the back window he says is a ***** to do and takes most of the time.
Steve, do you have pics of your C300? Sounds almost identical to mine except mine is a 2015.
Posted a pic on the main car pictures thread. Different wheels, and mine is the base model, but other than that looks very similar.
Got the PPF today. They did a great job. Can see the line on the fender (only got half fenders) if you look for it. Other than that it's totally invisible.
