MBUSA Site Updated for 2016 C Class

In case anyone's interested, you can now build the MY16 on MBUSA site. They even show the P1 and P2 packages separated. And the pricing is now the 2016 prices.

Give it a try and let me know if you think there's something wrong. If you add P1, P2 and Interior Package, it forces you to accept the Driver Assistance Package for a whopping $2800 additional.

Wow I hope that's not right because I find no value in the driver assistance pack.

i really hope this is a mistake. forcing you to take interior and drivers assistance just to get LED headlights and burmester is ridiculous

It has to be a mistake. My car is scheduled to built next week (3rd decade of September) and my dealer certainly wasn't forced to add the Driver Assistance package in order for me to get all that is now in P1, P2 and Interior Package.

If for some reason my car comes with the Driver Assistance Package, I certainly won't be paying for it.

I checked another web site that lets you "build" your car (with both MRSRP and Invoice Pricing) and the Assistance package was not required with the Premium 2. It also shows that Blind Spot assist is included in Premium 2. So if I do the math correctly, the MY2016 model configured the same as my 2015 actually comes out a few dollars cheaper!!

That's another site though, not the actual MBUSA site. Yes, blind spot assist is included in P2. But in Driver Assistance blind spot assist goes to the next level, which is Active Blind Spot Assist.

It's more a be careful of what you wish for. I think the site is a melted mess. Try building a car with some nice options and it's [IMHO] completely messed up.

Of interest (at least to me) was that I was invited recently to take a survey about the MBUSA site. I gave it very poor marks as not being intuitive and the builder process is [again my opinion] confusing and pretty awful.

I totally agree...the MBUSA site could use some work.

Heating steering wheel for instance, it allows me to select it on the Sport model...but I thought the flat bottom steering wheel of the Sport does not come heated, and the site states nothing about that.

Maybe it's a work in progress, but that does seem odd. It was also my understanding the heated steering wheel is not available in the flat bottom.

I can imagine if anyone tries to build a new C Class on the new builder, they'll get very frustrated very fast.

My dealer found a heated steering close to impossible to order, not only your steering needs to be non-flat bottom, you also need to pick a black interior with a black dash ... just doesn't make sense, I was forced to drop it off my order .... b/w: my car was built/completed/inspected on the 5th, I still didn't receive it, dealership says any moment it will be on their parking lot

You must be so excited! Our two cars are supposed to be built this coming week. We expect they'll arrive mid-October. Not sure when we'll be able to get them though. The dealer is going to take our 2 E350 Coupes earlier than lease end, so we have to figure that part out. If I have to pay a couple more lease payments to get out of them, I will.

So, are you getting excited yet?

My dealer told me my car was expected to be in "any day now" for two weeks before it arrived. But once it was in (on A Friday), I was able to pick it up almost immediately (Monday).

I've now had it for just under two weeks and EVERYTHING works as expected (with some of the intelligent drive package working BETTER than I expected).

Yes, the excitement mounts as the arrival date gets closer. I could barely sleep once my dealer started telling me my car should arrive "any day now".

BTW, not sure how well the scheduling is working now, but mine arrived about a month earlier than expected.... so.... here's hoping.

In a way, I hope my car doesn't come any sooner than mid-October. I'd have to eat too much remaining lease on my current MB. Plus, I'm paying cash for both cars and won't have the funds 100% until early October.

I couldn't see an option for the sport trim. The picture showed my build in sport trim. Is that the only way it can be ordered now??

Did you ask about the pull ahead program? I always get out of my leases 4 months early at no charge as long as I lease another. Not sure if it works if you are going from a lease to a purchase.

You can't just get sport trim. You order the car with the complete sport package.

That's what I meant. Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see that choice.

If you click on build a C, then C300, you'll get three options:

C300
C300 Luxury Package
C300 Sport Edition

Thanks. I guess the exterior rendering is just not accurate. This sure looks like Sport to me:

The picture you're showing is NOT the sport.

For one the wheels are wrong for the Sport. And two, the front diffuser on the Sport is chrome all the way across the bottom of the front bumper. The difference is subtle, but there is a difference. Compare the front of this post against the picture you posted:

Hmm anyone know why the drive assistance packages across the model ranges are different prices? The C300 still has the $2800 which has been the standard price in the past but the C450 has a $2,250, the GLE has $1,950.
