Does anyone has the same problem? Mine is malfunction most of the time
I heard there is a firmware upgrade that can solve the issue?

I did not buy from a local authorized dealer but parallel importer the vehicle
hence cannot make any claims

It might help if you describe the 'malfunction'?

The only issue I've read is a sticky top button. It will require replacement if that's the case. Firmware upgrades won't fix a faulty button.

I am getting an issue where the COMAND touchpad does not work and is locked up (can't push down on any of the buttons) unless I restart the whole system by using the power button to turn the screen off and turn it back on again.

I am going to take it in the service this Thursday hopefully with some success.

That is a firmware issue. I thought I needed a whole new track pad but they said it was firmware and it has worked flawlessly evef since. It actually never worked great until they updated the software.

I have a feeling mine is with the so call "'sticky'' touchpad issue
cause the back button and the middle button works but he last button which is the Star button or favourites button doesn't, it seems to be stuck and because of that, cannot scroll as well

I tried holding on to the power button to re-start the Audio 20, but the issue persist
someone mentioned holding on to the eject button of the CD player for 10secs to re-boot, but it doesn't work, there is no re-boot it seems

It's a physical failure, software or reboots won't fix it. Replacement parts will.

Mine is no different when the car or COMAND is off or on. I'd be amazed if a click pad could not physically click due to software.
