what's wrong with that? So if my car is like that, I'd have to hide it whenever possible, remove the logo and put camouflage on it so people wouldn't recognize it? You can be driving a 500 hp car with Mega brake or Mega whatever and there's always a next guy driving a better car than yours.

There's nothing wrong with it. If painting your calipers or putting a wrap on them, makes you smile just a little more each time you see your car, it was a good move on your part. Some, including myself likely wouldn't make our calipers look different from stock, but there's nothing wrong with it if you want to.
I agree it shouldn't matter to anyone but the owner what color calipers you have. Anyone who modifies there car isn't doing it to be un-noticed. It's silly to think otherwise. Yes we do it because we like the look and that's what matters most but it's also so your car stands out and not a factory look.
On my Alfa i have factory installed Red Brembo calipers. It looks great with the black car and the open wheels. Next however I wil get standard brakes on my C220, they will look stupid when painted so I leave them be. But the calipers shown here can't be called mediocre.

Perception, perception, perception. To a guy who lives in a mansion, a three-bedroom cottage is a dump. But to a guy who crams his family of 5 into a 1 bedroom apartment, it's a dream house. A C300 certainly can't be compared to an Alfa. So, anything done on it will look stupid to you. But for the Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla crowd, it might be something out of their world.

My apology. I didn't mean to offend you and anyone else who has standard wheels. I should have said it better. I'm by no mean someone who can set a standard on what should be modded and what not, because what would be right to me might not be right to some one else and vice versa. I was focused about my wheels and didn't realize that by saying that, doesn't matter if it's true or not, I'm no different from "them". And you were right. You can paint it any freaking color you want. I stand corrected. ☺
