Does anyone know if there is a way to order the MB Red Brake Calipers that are on all the other models and install them on our C300? The dealership here in Seattle said it's "very possible", just have to find a compatible model, which they weren't able to do on their computer system?

Anyone have any ideas?

why can't you just paint it red?

 

Or perhaps, have someone do that for you.
Why not metallic yellow all the way (like carbon ceramic)

I got a CLA45 AMG with huge red 4 piston calipers on the front and slightly smaller on the rears.

 

Personally, between the $5 and $500+ solution, I'd pick the $5. And I did. They're both MB brakes, and nobody could tell the difference between the home painted one and the factory painted one.

 

Absolutely. I painted the calipers on my 2001 SLK320 and they looked fab and who knew.

 

Yep...all people see is a bit red between the spokes. Here's my $5 solution. Couldn't be happier.

DYI...that's why it's only 5 bucks. It's so easy, there's no need to take it to a shop. All you have to do is jack it up, remove the wheel, cover the surrounding area and spray away

What about the AMG/Mercedes Benz logos on the caliper??? I don't have a Benz so I don't know.

Red stands out too much on a non AMG vehicle IMO, I painted mine silver, masked them and had them proffesionally painted, applied the larger than stock decal before the clear coat.

Looks a lot better than the stock rough rugged surface and is much easier to keep clean.

I'd say it depends on the color of the car. For white, standing out is a good thing

 

I'm doing mine red. Waiting on the white MB deca to show up. AMG has nothing to do with red calipers and if it butt-hurt one of the owners they can kiss my white ***.

 

Haha. I like that attitude. Some of the AMG fans here are like a bunch of kindergarteners.

 

Not all AMG owners are snobs, only the ones that sacrifice their budget to own one. You should be able paint your calipers any color you want. I know for a fact if you paint them yellow it's not going to **** off the Porsche guys.

 

I dont care about the AMG blokes, I wouldnt paint my cilipers in a sharp color because it looks ridiculous, the color screams "look at me" and all you see is the puny stock brakes,
A Porsche or AMG usually carries a lot larger stuff and very much compliments a sharp color.
But of course these are my thoughts and everyone is entitled to do whatever they want.

 

I totally agree Vic...and I like your re-painted silver calipers. Tastefully done.

As for red calipers...
