Looks great! I'm also interested in that grille. Did you have to remove the bumper?

Isn't there a big difference between the prices? It's kind of like asking why get mbtex instead of leather. Not everyone can or is willing to fork out that much for a car

Yes its listed c400 like what knowledge said...its "c63 inspired mod", but am not stupid to remove my c400 badge and slap c63.. You can easily do a vinyl wrap for that. Super easy and super cheap 😁

You'll need a heat gun to stretch and mould vinyl wrap. Get onto YouTube, there's stacks of info and how-to videos. You can use knifeless tape to avoid cutting into paintwork - yet another thing that has YouTube examples.

Don't be fooled into thinking it's easy! The only thing easy about wrapping vinyl is making mistakes. There's certainly a learning curve ahead of you if you've never tried it before.

Last but not least.. Don't buy cheap vinyl. Especially for UV exposed areas.

Wrapping the whole car is not easy. But for this part of the car, I don't think it's hard. The area is small and if you use knifeless tape (basically a thread to cut the vinyl ), you can never mess up your car. The vinyl you can buy from metrorestyling.com and probably the tape too. I bought the tape from Amazon. the vinyl cost about $20 and the tape costs about the same. So depends on your budget, you can do it yourself or take it to the shop. For me, I did both the side mirrors and the front, and the tape I use to wrap the whole car, so it's super cheap for me

Hey Darwin, the car looks great, thanks for the shout out...glad I could help and I think your car looks really nice. Glad you took my advice on the wheels to get the matte black inners vs the red...your brake calipers look nice and the color on the wheels with the brushed lips looks very clean and mature.

As far as everyone hating on the AMG emblem, people should really settle down about that, all these up tight people ******* on everyone with a AMG badge on a non AMG engine car may not be old enough to remember or know that AMG did not become an official part of Mercedes til 1999, prior to that there were limited edition models sold through Mercedes just prior to full take over and one of those models was the R129 in 97 sold with front and rear bumpers and 18" AMG wheels and an AMG badge on a base SL500, later came the engine modded cars like the E50, E55, C36, C43 etc.

Over the years doing Brabus, Carlsson, Lorinser...I can't tell you how many times people would call to order just a rear trunk logo, not even having wheels, or even a shift knob, but yet they would want to run the badge.

At least Darwin's car has some AMG Related parts, so if you want to run the logo, please do so, it is advertising...people really don't get it, but that branding is important for the substance of everything offered by the line, not just the engines.

Look at a C class today compared to a C class 7 years ago, it is the aftermarket that has become the mainstream...steering wheels, body parts, aluminum foot pedal kits, floor mats, exhaust tips, larger wheels and tires, the cars are night and day in comparison...that is all AMG!!!!

Relax folks! Darwin, enjoy your car...looks great!

Jim

Dressing a civic up like anything but a civic is silly and would turn some heads. So goal accomplished. Putting a AMG badge on a MB to each his own. Some of you guys jeans probably have holes in your knees from worshiping AMG owners and their cars. I wouldn't put a AMG badge on my car, in fact I would take it off if I owned a AMG...but that's ME. I sure in hell wouldn't ridicule somebody who does. It's their car and if makes them happy who f-ing cares? And the bigger question WTF do some of you? Darvin329 kudos to for stepping outside the box. modding your car is a lot like decorating your man cave IMO. In fact I have a AMG poster in my garage, keeping my eye on the prize for when all 3 of my kids graduate from college. This form has the biggest f-ing snubs for a bunch of mid-priced cars.

Thank you Mate RixC300!! I'm here to share my set up and I find this forum very helpful, seeing members posting pictures gives me ideas how to MOD my own car the way I like it. I think the guy who mentioned about civic in a Ferrari body kit was totally different story. I was laughing when I saw that comment. most important is am so happy with my set up.. thanks again RixC300

About AMG badging... Well am not trying to hide my model c400 in fact I add more, AMG badge! As long as my VIN number matches AMG parts then i will slap it on my car!!! Decided to get PPF Satin matte full hood. The car color from the hood look a lot different of course but for me looks more aggressive IMO to each their own

Getting PPF full front clear!

Nice car! Im liking the look of the mirrors and the grill on the white car. Looks very clean with the drop and wheels. I was also an early adopter of the C400 as I purchased mine in sept of last year. My sticker was over 60k as I fully optioned it and there was no c450 or c63 at the time. I too have the c63 rear but have the diamond grill instead. I don't understand the hate on the forum in regards to tasteful mods on c400s. Specially the fact that my c400 has amg everywhere on the sticker. It just wasn't marketed as an amg car like the c450 but has AMG package on everywere. The only think I did different than you was I debadged the car. I've always debadged my cars because i feel you get a cleaner look at the actual design of the vehicle as opposed to the "badge". Anyhow, I like your car and think it looks very clean and tastefull! Do the vinyl on the window trim and your car is complete!

Thanks MaTE! I got mine January of this year.. Originally looking for Cla but when i test drove c class i bought it right away without thinking theres c450 coming this fall. c63 is a Monster but not for my daily driving in the city. MSRP too is similar to yours minus the airmatic. like to keep my badges plus the amg not pose but for me it looks great on my car hehehe.. if am just trying to fake it maybe slap amg and remove c400.. this is me i love my set up and I always love wite cars very easy to blend with colors especially black..

Car is in the shop now getting full front PPF clear but i decided to put satin matte just on the hood.. wow it looks very aggressive maybe wrap the whole car later on with satin matte PPF hehe.. am deleting the chrome too this week on the windows plus the trim along the bottom of the doors

I think i saw your car somewhere at the forum dark color Black/Dark grey.. Looks mean!!

Loving the wrap on your side mirrors, dude. What do you call that? My C450 will have the black mirrors, but I'm digging that red stripe.

Red foil oem (red accent) forgot the part number but you can find it on ebay the clear one is just PPF TO protect side black mirror from rockchip also prevent the foil from peeling
