I have the car for two weeks now, but always driven it during the day. This friday I made a 200 mile trip in the dark. Mostly un-iluminated (is this good english?) highway roads. The ILS was unbelievable. The white light resulted in a high contrast. Also the intensity of the light was very high. This combination was very easy on the eyes. It was also great to see that the system recognized the cars in front of you and lighted the rear of these cars but left their rear window in the shadow. Also the beam is very wide.

The other feature I tried for the first time was Parctronic. This feature was demonstrated to me when the car was delivered. I noticed the that the proces was fast and that I had no problem to get in tight spaces.

So today I had to paralel park the car. I drove past the space, selected reverse, selecte "OK" and touched the throttle. With folded hands and my foot gently touching the breaks the car parked itself in one go. It even breaks for you. The proces was very intuitive. My wife's comment was "wow that was bizarre".

It's great to see features like ILS and Parctronic to be so useful.

 

It really is good when you think to yourself "wow, I'm really pleased with that - well worth the money".

Glad you are impressed. I have to say that the ILS is one of my favourite things about this car. If you had tried to properly explain it to me, before I experienced it, I would have said "yeah, right..." Because it is such a departure from what you are used to - surely, all cars will go down this route - it is better, safer and enhances your night time driving experience.
