From what I could find out - Google Maps' SendToCar actually makes use of SendToBenz - which is part of MBrace.

Unfortunately, I don't have access to MBrace in my country. Does anyone know if there is another way to send PoI's from google maps to your car?

I don't have my car yet - so this is just for some research before I get it. It will be fitted with Garmin's Map Pilot. I didn't opt to get the Command Online option.

Add your car VIN to the Account field. Then when you are logged in Google Maps on your PC, you can send it to your car. It works for me in Canada. But I have to have my iPhone data tethering on in the car.

 

Does anyone know if this works with Garmin Navi? Or does it only work with command?

 

Thanks - I will give that a go once I have my car (I will update here as well). I am due to receive my car in mid January 2016 - such a long wait

 

I would just like to add that in the absence of MBrace the final step after tethering is to select the Download POI menu item in the Nav display.

 

Another easy way to store POI : add waypoints in a file with Basecamp from Garmin, save it with the name 'SavedPOIs.GPX', store it on the root of a sd card, after in the car you can start a route by selecting a POI from the list in the Command Menus.
