keyless go/entry software update
Hi, anyone knows what software update or document is available for keyless go keyless entry?
I heard it solved the keyless entry issue.
My car is in the shop NOW and my dealer cannot find any software update on it.
I thought it's gonna be an easy one.
PLEASE HELP!

I posted the information when I had it done in July. The update was listed as a solution to communication issues for Keyless Go. I have had zero issues since the update was installed.
Hi Stan, they said my software is up to date.. My car was March production. the software update is available sometime in June/July, right?
i have been told there's nothing they can do at this point...because my car has the latest keyless go software and there's no update or documents they could find for keyless go issue.
The issue happened only occasionally - say 2 times a month.

My car is a March production and, when I brought it in with a complaint about the Keyless Go, they did the software update and it is shown on my worksheet. They also were able to find an error code, so that may have helped. There is a software update for errors in communication between the fobs and the system.
Mine had a firmware update. Didn't help. My dealer said mine isn't generating a code, but it locked them out in service bay, so they believed me. Usually if leave it alone for a while you can get in. Embarrassing when have guests to drive. My dealer reported it to MB and hopeful for another fix. Marked as 'normal for design of car' on invoice.

My new C300, which has been essentially trouble free, started doing the Keyless No Go thing soon after I got it. One time, my wife and I were locked out of the car during a torrential rainstorm and got drenched. That's when I brought it in to my dealer ... I was not happy. My previous car never threw a code, but this time the new one did and the dealer was able to find the update based on that code. That was back in July and, I say this with my fingers crossed, I have not experienced one problem with the system since that update was applied.
I wonder, if you give your own dealer the error code my car generated, they can find the associated software update for it. Whatever it was, it did completely cure the problem. When I first brought the car in, they were not aware of any update for the Keyless Go system. When they saw the error code, their computer did show that update.

Thanks Stan for the pic. I gave it to the dealer yesterday. They said they would not do anything to my car because even it's the same symptom, it could be a different root cause.
There was no code in my car.

No. When this happens, there is no communication between the fob and the car. It's just like trying to use the fob with a dead battery. The emergency unlock is so difficult and convoluted to use, that it becomes impractical to do anything but wait for the car to finally wake up on its own ... which it eventually will do.
Gotta love it, my car at the dealer to fix this issue among take a stab at others. They asked if I had a second keyfob. It locked them out again. No codes thrown, and it has the firmware. I said, just smash a window if you're in a rush. Neither keyfob gets recognized if the system is in a 'mood'. They said they'd use a slim jim.

During the times it has locked me out (and I had Mbrace) i was able to unlock the doors with the app. But the car itself still didn't recognize the key for starting purposes. I had to pop the cap over the key ignition and turn it manually.

Then, i guess mine was not the problem that you guys discussed. I could still easily press key fob to unlock the car.
