Best cell phone holder

So I've to the realization that there is no where to put your cell phone in this car besides the cupholder. Problem is, that takes up a cup slot, and I like the aesthetic of having the cupholder lid down. however i abhor windshield mounted phone holders, thats for cheap cars. anyone have any ideas, or can recommend a holder that goes elsewhere, say across the cupholder lid?

I have a brilliant idea. Push the button on the double door holder/arm rest. Doors open. Place phone inside. Close double arm rest doors. Phone is safe, out of sight and since every C Class comes with Bluetooth, you operate the phone via car controls.

There problem solved for free. You're welcome! Buy yourself something useful if you've got money burning a hole in your pocket.

I figured that. But I truly look forward to the day when it's illegal in ALL States to hold a cell phone in your hand when you're behind the wheel of an automobile in motion. I've been rear-ended twice by someone using a cell phone. If they're out of sight, they're less likely to be used, making the driver less distracted, and safer.

In my car, my cell phone is held in the storage compartment. I can get texts via Bluetooth, and my C can read the text out to me. When the car is stopped, I can dictate a text back to the car and have it sent. I can answer a call and I can place a call, all without ever touching my phone. I'm not sure what more anyone needs to do with their cell phone while driving.

Sorry, but I wish more people would put them away and concentrate on driving.

Rant over. Be safe.

I've recently added the Brodit mount into mine, excellent fit and holds my IPhone 6s Plus in a great position. http://www.brodit.com/

I always wished there was something to fit in the card holder slots - seem a bit of a waste to me

You can just completely remove that tray and free up space.
Just pull it out and it will be big enough for cell phone or sunglasses.

+1. I've been in the wireless phone business since 1994, back when hands-free car kits had 3-watt boosters. When people say that hands-free phone use is equally distracting I know otherwise: get used to hands-free and try going back to holding a phone. MUCH more distracting. I just put Bluetooth in a 1999 Lexus RX300 I use as a beachwagon and snow car, and it works really bare-bones: no Caller ID display, etc. I keep my phone in my back pocket and answer "Hello", like the old days before Caller ID.

I stumbled upon this thread as I am new to the forum and looking for ideas including suggestions on a good phone holder. I had to chime in to this dude who thinks he is a smart ***! How would you see the navigation if you have it on your phone and not spent the $1k+ money, which apparently, according to you that is burning the hole in the pocket on a stupid outdated unintelligent garmin navi system? Thanks and please answer my question so that I can thank you and you can again say "you are welcome". moron!

How about next time offer your money also to everyone so that they can have all the features in the car to stop them from looking at their phone while driving?

If you had navi on the screen, wouldn't you have to look at it? Same way, if a phone is mounted on a holder then someone would look at it! Not sure how it makes it unsafe! The OP is asking for a cell phone holder, precisely so that he does not have to hold it in his hand and make it dangerous out there on the roads for himself and other drivers! Rant over against this moron, once again! Be safe....from this moron on this forum!
