Especially since one can get 4G LTE with a Chevy. I seriously question why a 2015 W205 owner would even want to renew their free 6 month subscription to any form of mbrace...actually paying out of pocket since the 2016 models give it away free for five years (yes I know it's built into the price), and with remote start no less.

This is my first Mercedes Benz, and I feel let down on many fronts when it comes to my 2015 C300. If it weren't for it's great styling and the Mercedes emblem up front, I'd be driving a different brand by now. I have a well equipped car, but at times I feel when it comes to luxury options, my old 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4x4 was a step up.

First cold days with frost on the glass here, 20-30F and I noticed this on mine and a 2016 loaner. Stuck at the top.

The air vents don't adjust enough vertically and can't be adjusted to blow on your body or your head without moving air right at your hands if they are in a position to use the steering wheel buttons / paddles.

3. sat nav - i have the standard audio20 and google maps are 100% better. After having to turn around 2x due to sat nav lack of road knowledge or mapping software I actually had to set up a phone mount so i can use my iphone for navigation. Surely MB could do better than that....

5. off-centre steering wheel... why?! i keep finding myself shifting to the side subconsciously all the time!

6. Proximity warnings - i'm still getting used to the alarm going off all of a sudden when I'm less than 25cm from object. On previous car it was a gradual increase in frequency and intensity of beeps, on the C its all or nothing. Also goes off randomly when I use swipe card for access car parks.

I do still love it however - but it certainly has more "character" than some other less than reputable european brands

I agree on #1 and #2. I solved #3 and #4 by ordering Multimedia Package and Black Open Pore Ash Trim (really love it!). I never heard of #5 and #6.

Niggles me each time I fill washer fluid:

the lid on the washer fluid container has a life of its own when open. It's a guarantee that it will pop back from where you carefully placed it, just as you start pouring fluid. Result: well goes without saying

I did not get one because I hated it so much when I test-drove a 2016 C class that I bought an Audi A5 instead.
Today I brought what is now my wife's 2012 C300 in for a service and got a 2016 C class loaner.
When my 14 year-old son saw me pulling into the garage, he said "it looks like an old people car".
Now, I am no youngster, but I felt strangely vindicated.

An A5 is a uniquely beautiful coupe. Not a lot of sport sedan based coupes look as good as an A5/S5. I had one for about a month and then gave it to my wife. Hated the seats. Could never get comfortable in that car, but it drove great and looked great.

The 205 can go full on generic rental fleet car to a total knockout depending on how they're optioned.

I tried to lift my windshield wipers off the car in anticipation of some snow and ice last night, and I couldnt do it! The wiper arms are too far under the edge of the hood and you cant lift them away from the windshield....unless I am doing something wrong??

you can manually move the wipers into the service position when the car is off, meaning the wipers are at the top of their range of motion, and then life them off of the windshield

You're not supposed to move them over their arc manually.

The user guide shows simply to turn on the wipers and ignition until they reach directly upwards and then turn off the ignition.

I've had 2 different dealers show me that, both did it when they had to replace the wiper blades. I don't personally lift up my blades for ice, so I have never done it

Just don't forget to lower the blades back down before you start the car again! Very easy to forget; I would have to stick a large Post-it note over the Start button. Otherwise, the blades crash down onto the windshield with enough force to possibly crack it. Very expensive and not covered by warranty (and maybe not covered by comprehensive insurance)! I have read about this happening in another thread.

I hate the fact that the heater works as good as it does. I live in South Florida! I don't need the heater to work at all.

I will be taking it in next month for the first scheduled service, and I will try to address some of these things. I have talked about these things before on this forum, so this is actually a repeat. I have had two other MBs, but the ride in my C300 is the worst of any car I have ever driven - any car. It's like I am driving on solid rubber tires. Just driving down the road in my neighborhood at 20 mph, my head is whipping back and forth over the small road imperfections. On a bad road the ride is actually painful. This might be in part because I ordered the car without sport suspension, but the VIN search says that I actually do have it. I rented a new Malibu for a week recently, and I caught myself subconsciously preparing for the pain of upcoming bumps in the road, only to be surprised by the smooth ride. Not the same class of car - I get that, but boy what a difference. Also the transmission is incredibly jerky both in up-shift and down-shift. Also the worst I have ever seen in any car. Again the Malibu was silky smooth. Like I said it is a fun car to drive, and if I can fix these problems next month at the service, I will be very happy.

I brought it in for the "A" service yesterday, and I asked them if it had Sport Suspension. Of course they said no because I didn't order it. I told them to put it up on a lift and check the part numbers of the suspension. Guess what - it DOES have the Sport Suspension. Now they are trying to find out who f***ed up. It is on record now, so they will have to make me whole some way. I am ready to take it to Mercedes USA if they don't compensate me for it. Stay tuned...

I was going to suggest neck muscle exercises to help with his head slamming back and forth while driving 20 mph.

It does paint a very funny mental picture though.

Maybe one of those purty white foam neck braces might help!

But honestly, I get he didn't get what he paid for. He got more than he paid for. Now if he paid for the sports suspension and found out he didn't get it, that's grounds for either MB buying back the car or compensation. But I'm not sure I get being upset over his situation?

I don't get the logic. I did not order the sport suspension because I did not want the sport suspension. If I order a white car, but they build me one with a more expensive black color, I should be happy?

I don't get what the issue is with having the sport suspension. I actually paid a lot of money for it and think it enhances the driving experience in the C. That's me, not you. But your analogy is somewhat off. You can't see the suspension, like you can see the exterior color. So yeah, if I ordered a red car and it came black, I wouldn't have been happy. But to get something that is a pricey option for nothing isn't something that I would think merits "making you whole" when you got more than you paid for.

The difference between the static steel Sport Suspension and the static steel Comfort suspension is that the Sport is fractionally lower. The Base car also gets the Comfort suspension.

The minor drop on Sport should not result in an overly harsh or stiff ride. One advantage to a standard shock and to standard rubber bushings is that with time they lose their resistance and become more compliant.

I would look to wheel size. 17" would be ideal and no run flats, which by design have very rigid sidewalls. Go to a salvage yard and get a small donut spare, or carry a can of flat fix. (Using Flat Fix may damage the TPMS, but you won't be stranded.
