C450 Question

Hey everyone, I've been lurking around the forums and I joined mainly to ask this question. So I just got a new C450 over the weekend, and it's been absolutely amazing. Looks great, awesome to drive, really quick, and the V6 sounds good too. It's basically fully loaded except for one option: parking sensors. It was something I wanted for the car, and I'm wondering if the dealership could install them or if they had to be installed at the factory. If anyone knows if this is possible and/or how much this would cost, I'd appreciate it. Thanks

The Infamous C450
Welcome and congrats on your new 450. I don't know factually but I'd imagine it would be difficult to add sensors afterwards and rewire the entire vehicle. If it is possible, I'd also imagine the cost would be astronomical.

Now, let's see some photos of your beautiful beast.

Astronomical is a good word to describe the likely cost. It would likely cost less to trade or sell the car and get one with the options you want.

Yeah, I figured it would cost a lot. Thanks for the replies. I'll post pics as soon as possible

I'm in the same boat with you - an optioned up C450, except the parking package. The dealer told me they could install some aftermarket 3rd party sensors, that should not be too expensive, but may look ugly on the bumpers.

I have seen some good aftermarket parking sensors installed that look just like the installed sensors in the bumpers, but the IN CAR remote and indicators are not the same. Not integrated with the rear view camera and not integrated with any of the auto parking functions.. but they do offer the proximity sensors function and proximity alerts..

installed for less than 500$ with color matching covers and such, so it's not prohibitively expensive
