Gas mileage for c400

Just curious to what everyone with a c400 is getting for gas mileage. I just picked mine up Saturday and have mostly only done highway driving on it. I did a 200km trip yesterday and got down to around 8.6L/100km. At about 9.8 in the 300km total driven. This is my first tank of gas in the car, the range always seems to very low...had a full tank at the dealership but the range only said 415km. It's still at about 300km on the range after driving about. I am happy with the liters per 100km but weird that it only looks like I will get 600km out of the tank. Been mostly driving on Eco, with a few short goes on sport+. I'm sure will get better as the engine breaks in.

How many Kms or miles are you guys getting per tank?

how many miles do you have on your car? you save more after engine break-in.

BC, Canada. They are discontinued up here as well...this dealership had this one sitting on their lot for quite some time i guess. Thats why I got such a big discount, was tough to say no to...I was in the market for a c300 didn't think Id be walking away with a c400. From what the salesman told me afterwards, the dealer broke even on the car itself and lost money because of having to pay his commission. They wanted to get rid of it! Not many new c400s around probably why they gave it away.

Can I ask, what you guys ended up paying for it? I'm in a similar position, was in the market for a C300 but see some C400s that have been at the dealership for well over a year. Trying to dial in how much to push for discounted off MSRP.

The msrp on mine was 59 999, they had it on special for 56999. After talking to a sales lady from a different dealership who told me the max discount they could give was 6250, I went to work. Got them down to 53 000, it took a couple days...the deal almost fell apart because of 1000 dollar difference but they caved at the end of it. So 53 000 was my final price give or take a couple hundred, I used my monthly payment to get them down, told them I was on a budget and my payment needed to be x amount.

They approached me with the c400, so made it easier to negotiate. It was all done via texting the sales guy btw haha. I should mention these are Canadian prices.

Glad this thread was started. Im having the same issue where the stated MPG does not seem to be realistic.

I haven't done any real tests where I calculate like you have, but I can tell you what I see.

I fill up premium which is about 15-16 gallons if im not mistaken (topping it off) and I travel to the city and back.
- About 120 Miles total

I do variable driving when it comes to acceleration but its always left in comfort mode. No racing or anything just a normal drive.

After that drive, the computer tells me I have 100 miles to empty, which falls pretty rapidly and 2 bars on the gas meter. On a full tank im looking at 375 - 420 on the meter. i understand it adjusts to how you are driving but it seems a little rediculous. Ill do some calculating and get back to this forum with what my results are.

I have 19,000k Miles so far

My Combined city/hwy is currently at 11.1L /100km (21.2-21.4 MPG for you 'muricans lol). Was at 11.0 for quite a while but its gone down I guess because of the colder temps and more time spent idling to warm up the car and also started doing more city driving than I used to.
