Dynamic select and horses c450??
Does changing dynamics select from comfort to sport to sport+ change the horsepower of the engine? Or does it just change the shift points of the transmission and the horsepower stays the same? I like the shift points of sport but I don't want to be giving up the acceleration of sport+... Any ideas? Will sport+ give a better time in the 1/4 mile because of more horse power or the way it shifts later?

It's just different transmission shift maps. Comfort starts in 2nd gear. Sport and Sport + start in 1st. Sport + holds upshifts longer. Sport or + would be best for the quarter. No change in engine HP or exhaust.

Would that mean that the best d.s. to use for acceleration is sport? since sport plus takes longer to shift gears by streching out the shifts.

I don't think it's placebo effect, but I find that my exhaust has a bit more "rumble" in S+ (and of course the pop-crackle on the overrun is orgasmic LOL). I also feel the engine pulls harder, not just winds out the gears longer. Or maybe I'm just pushing the throttle farther to hear more rumble...

Only a few factory cars comes to mind that let you change horsepower as a setting change

Yes, different exhaust sound has been noted by others. I don't know for sure but suspect there is a throttle mapping change, so everything feels quicker since you get more throttle sooner.
