Platypus Front License Mount Review
Hi Guys
I am reviewing Platypus Front License Mount pro series for my C450. Before I get started, I would like to say thanks to Cravenspeed and I am in no way affiliated with the company.
Here is the picture of the box it arrived in:
Here are some pictures without the plate installed:
Here is the final product:
Overall, it feels like a solid product and it is very easy to install. This is a great alternative for those who do not want to drill holes in their front bumper.

Damn, too late for me lol, already got my front bumper drilled...stupid front plate laws in Ontario. Can you post pictures of a front and side angle of the plate but farther away from the car like 15-20 feet? Thanks!

That's a very creative way to leave your front bumber visible. In the Netherlands and almost every european country we have these large number plates. Like in my video:
Maybe it is better to have them in the middle, because it may interfer with the sensors. I don't think it is that firm build on the side of the car so it may damage when it gets hit or something. Very creative.

It is unfortunate for some of us where the law requires a front license plate. I resized the front license plate and drilled two holes and zip-tied it to the bottom grill. I don't think it looks nice but atleast I don't have to drill the bumper.

I never get the rationale for not drilling the bumper ... Because you'll always need a license plate and you're mounting this ridiculous setup that screams how concerned you are about drilling your bumper to anyone that sees your zip tie mounted license plate flapping in the breeze lol. I can understand it for a show car ... None of these are show cars
So ...what ... ? You wax the car up and have a few beers admiring the clean bumper and then slap on the off center monstrosity for the rest of the month?
Kudos for trying to find alternative ways to not drill the bumper

How is this flapping in the breeze lol? Sorry I prefer methods without compromise and I think this meets my requirements of not drilling the bumper without violating the laws.

Just got pulled over and got a waning. I keep it behind the passenger seat and threw it up on the front window as he was walking up. After laughing at me told me he was okay with it there. I will continue to keep it in that compartment behind the seat. I have had a few cars I refuse to screwup with a stupid law and that was the only time I've been pulled over. #Texas

I think the idea is to affix the plate using this mount then go and have the ticket cleared and then the mount can be removed. This is a great temporary fix for those who don't want a plate on the front. Personal choice so no need to judge. As a permanent solution I don't see the point as it is not very pleasing to the eye.
