I took my 2015 C300 to the dealer last week to get the windshield replaced (rock at less than 3000 miles!). I also asked them to put in the mod to reduce the telephone ringer volume. It had been at full volume since new. I do not have the multimedia package, just the A20. They said they put in a "software patch". I also do not know if it is just the latest 2015 edition or if it is the same as the 2016s. I do not know if they were joking or not but they said it took more time to do this than it did to install the new windshield.

The ringer volume was fixed but I noticed a few other changes as well.

I have no idea if the touchpad could be turned off before going to the dealer last week but now it has a "active touchpad" button that can be turned on and off.

Also, after their patch, my favorites were erased. When I first put them in when I got the car, it would not allow putting my favorites ahead of some of what I guess they thought were more important favorites. I reinstalled my favorites this morning and I could now put them in any position in the favorites menu, even ahead of what I would call the "Mercedes factory favorites".

I have no idea what other things are different--haven't had time to play with it that much but I would bet there are more changes. By the way, this is in the USA and it was covered by the warranty.

My car is at dealer right now and they said they couldnt get the new firmware uploaded, that the car's brain thinks it has the newest software so it can't be updated through dealer
