Sorry I do not have a date buddy. The exact text in the article is as follows:

"Drivers looking for a little more pep in their A4's step will want to cool their heels until the 2018 S4 goes on sale in early 2017. Featuring an all new ZF eight-speed torque-converter automatic, as Audi has killed the six speed-manual..."

There's more of course, but the gist is above.

To my knowledge they have not been released yet. Using the non-AMG option prices as a guide.

Cars.
Anyone think they'll be able to ****** up a C43 in December with the same discount of 15-17% off? Residuals may be better, too.

The car will be out for a month or two then, and you think someone will be able to match the best deal we've seen on a C450 (a car that is a dead model that dealers just want to get off the lot and is from the prior model year)? Good luck with that.

For a "dead model", the C450 still seems to command a high price from the dealerships evidently...compared to an end of year C300.

There is absolutely no way anyone is going to get 15% off a model shortly after release. Anyone arguing otherwise is living in lala land.

Likely because -
End of model year = many on dealer lots
Early in model year = few on dealer lots

C450 2016
Here in Northern NJ where there are several MB dealers, I am surprised to find that the discounts of 12% and up on the C450 being reported by others are nowhere to be had. The best I've been able to find are about 10% including the $1800 August incentives, which brings the real discount down to about 7%. One dealer wanted to charge an additional $1000 to flatbed the car from another dealer.

I am from this area as well. If you can get anything approaching 10%, especially at Ray Catena, I would say go for it. I'd be shocked if a salesman even talked to you there! LOL! I think those guys just like to walk around the dealership and smoke cigarettes out back!!!

Although I've never been to either of these two, I have heard good things about Benzel and Morristown.

C450 2016
I got this ridiculous offer from Benzel:
Term: 36 months
Mileage: 10000 per year
Using Autopay (payment deducted from your bank account which saves around $10/month
MSRP: $63660
Sale Price: $60082
Fees out of Pocket: ($2666.98 including first payment)
Payment: 799.65 including tax
Morristown was better- about 11% off including the $1800 incentive.
Do you know anything about Bridgewater ?

15+% off MSRP on a car that is barely a year old is hardly a "high price", it's more of a "deeply discounted price", but in terms of gross dollars...I agree that C450s are selling for more than C300s of the same model year. It would be a major issue if they weren't, considering the premium price tag the C450 carried versus the C300. In terms of relative dollars though, which is what matters, it's not much of a difference at all.

How are you figuring 15%- The figure I gave was $3000 off on a 63,600 car. If I got 15% i would be running.

I honestly do not know anything about Bridgewater. I live up north of Livingston/Caldwell area. I did forget to mention Caldwell though. They usually have good inventory levels and I believe one of their sales guys is a member here, although I cannot remember his name.

EDIT: Full disclosure, I have not purchased from any of these dealerships, I am just passing along what I know of reputation. I have a residence in PA that I keep for work and I buy (and register and insure ) my cars out there.

From what I've been reading here on this site, not too many of us have received 15% off MSRP on this "dead model"...more like 8 to 10% off is the going rate...much lower than a year end C300.

One would think the discount percentage on a year end C450 would be higher since it commands a higher price than a C300.

Because I negotiated 12.8% off back in February, before corporate had any extra incentives trying to give these things away...

What? A simplifying assumption is that you give the same discount percentage to both, which returns higher dollars discounted for the higher priced car. You don't give a higher discount percentage off on something because it's nominal value is higher. Wtf?

From personal experience, that's how the final negotiations have always gone for me when purchasing a year end model. Case in point, I received a 13.2% discount off MSRP on my less expensive year end 2015 C300 Sport 4Matic (bought end of June 2015), and with my current 2016 C450, 16.1% off MSRP (bought end of July 2016).

Maybe I'm just a better negotiator than you...

Anyone else's c450 make a lot of noise at startup? I'm hearing a lot of rattles and clicking on startup that goes for about a minute. It kind of sounds like my sprinter at idle.

my dealer basically implied that for my order (c43, 19s, P2, pano, and polar white) they would be willing to basically sell me a red c450 on their lot that had been rotting there (so basically free red paint, performance wheel, and command and leather).

so i'd guess the difference is roughly 10% (though they may be having a tough time offloading a red one)
