Dashboard Screen Brightness

Is there anyway to adjust the dashboard screen's brightness during the day? At night, I can use the little wheel to the left of the steering wheel to turn the brightness up or down on it. But once the sun come up, it isn't adjustable. What's the deal?

Good question. Do you want it off?

I just want to be able to adjust the brightness of the dashboard screen and gauges, like I can when the sun goes down.

I'd would assume it's at 100%. Perhaps turning the headlights to on? I'm not even sure as auto headlights will turn on the headlights and not dim the dash until it gets darker still.

Update: Went through a dark tunnel and the screens lowered their brightness, came out of the tunnel in the sun and they went back to 100% full brightness. Where is this sensor? I want to cover it.

I'm sorry I don't see the issue here. Full illumination in the day is hardly noticeable because well it's day!

You don't see a problem with me not being able to adjust the brightness to my liking? Just because you think it's OK, doesn't mean it is for others. I wake up early and that brightness is killing me when I'm driving to work. Especially when I leave when it's dark, and it flips on me when the sun comes out.

Do you have Mercedes me or mbrace? Send an email inquiry, then post the answer here. I'd like to know, too.
