Wiper Debacle / Broken Window
It is really unfortunate that I will not get to enjoy the new windshield because I plan on selling the car (yes a huge $ loss). The story:
Coming out of a 335i 6Mt -- I have been struggling with the C300 not so much for the 240hp 4cyl but the auto transmission. Then on a trip to Cleveland I have left the car in Nashville (airport) where the passenger window was broken into. Amazingly the Ahole that did this did not take a thing -- even left my V1 radar detector that I had locked in the glove box. However, the damage was enough to warrant an entire new dash , console & window -- totally was $5,100.
SO, currently I am driving a Kia Soul rental (yes wipers work flawlessly). Anyway I will sell this beautiful C300 to avoid long term squeaks and rattles that will certainly arise from all the dealer installed dash components. And unfortunately, as much as a C450 appears to be a perfect antidote to my current C300's lack of "sportiness" for the lack of a better term -- I feel the draw of another BMW. See - I keep my cars a long time and although I was drawn to the C-Class for its interior / exterior beauty -- it just lacks Soul not to mention the poor fit and finish of the body panels & transmission. There are so many thing to love but when it comes down to driving I just love the interaction of a MT -- something you just cant get with MB. I guess I am a 1%er -- those wanting a manual or a transmission that mates better to its engine than the C300 cruiser (not a sports sedan). I think I would be more inclined to keep the C300 if it truly were "The Best or Nothing" -- everything worked flawlessly -- I have replaced : roof drip shield, Sat Radio, Rear View Camera, Keyless Access, Door handle, New fuel filler door, Multiple Re-Programs, wipers and now a new windshield. Throw in a new dash & the straw has been broken. Not sure what I will replace her with but my wife is certainly pissed.

Although I haven't had the issues you've had with your 2015 C300, my car is currently at the dealership to address a multitude of issues like burned out door handle LEDs, glitchy COMAND system, cold brake squeal, "Key Not Detected" & change key battery warnings (car is only 7 months old), creaking door seals (driver's door mostly, and it closes funny compared to the other doors)...and of course my major issue, hesitation/slow downshifts when merging into highway traffic. This is my first Mercedes, and to tell you the truth, I'm not really impressed...especially let down with the reliability. I am impressed though with the dealership service I've received, absolutely top notch over at MBOB.
I too may be looking at BMW come Fall, got my eyes on a 2017 340i M Sport xDrive...better handler than the C450, better transmission, and less money to boot!
