If you want the MB OE - (there are 3 logo's to choose from last time I checked like -1 -2 -3) certainly has brighter/cleaner logo's - these are "new" to USA and just added to Parts Dept listing.. check with your dealer - not-so-bad...
I would only pay $300 for OEM if the logo was guaranteed to never fade.
Plus, I have large collection of old 10mm logo film with assorted logos for my cheap lights.
My $15 eBay puddle lights look plenty sharp. They still have the rear facing red lamp as well.
Can you link them? The ebay specials I tried omitted the red lamp and just relied on light spilling over from the puddle lamp. Basically, the red safety marker was useless.

I like the way some of the LED logo projectors look when you open the door on the appropriate car / person. For me, it's just not me. When the car (CPO W205 2017 sedan) goes in for some work in mid-august, the SA is installing the part without the logo projectors and returning the parts with the logo projectors to me.

I think for some cars / people driving the car they are pretty nice. I just got a 2017 CPO C300 that has the logo projectors and they are not me (I draw the line at the Illuminated Star). Talked with my SA (who says they are pretty popular) and when the car goes in for a small warranty item in two weeks, they will remove the logo projectors/door light and install the door lights w/o logo projectors. Will find them a good home.
As for the warranty claims discussion: Here in the Netherlands a mod has had to negatively influence a part or be the direct cause of failure for it to be reason to deny warranty.
As for the puddle light:
I actually ordered some from ali even before i had my car... :P This is the result:
The lines aren't that sharp. Furthermore it gets really HOT and you'll lose the "red light" part of the puddle light as it only lights the floor and only has 1 light to do so. The red part cars/cyclists etc should clearly see when coming from behind that. On top of that: Fitment was not more than 'so-so'. So when i noticed these flaws, i just put these back in their bag.
I ordered different ones, which are original Mercedes lights. (part no A1668205900)
With this as a result:
Nice, sharp lines on the logo, still has a very clearly visible red part (this light uses 3 leds! 2 for the red 1 for the logo) and fitment of course is perfect, though a bit tight to install as the wires are very short. Would be easier to take of the doorpanel. I thought i had broken the light but it was only a connector that came loose and i could simply click it back on. Furthermore there is an actual heat sink on these lights! :p So no worries about one point getting to hot like with the aliexpress lights.
Feel/think how you like about these, i like them so i'll keep them on For those who don't like them, simply don't install them. Taste is personal and many people on forums tend to forget that. So instead of discussing whether or not something is good taste to add on (whether it be lights like these, spoilers, AMG badges or whatever... focus on the technicalities instead of taste.)

These use high quality glass logos that don't fade. The logo turns off after a few minutes if the door is left open. (The red light stays on for safety). It has a heat sink attached.
Just get the HD glass logo versions, same as OEM, but much cheaper. Why pay $200?
