Not sure, but it's advertised as HD, non fading and has a heat sink. So it's probably glass. We will see.
My other ones have not faded for over 5 years.
Edit: I just went to look at them in the dark, yes most probably glass. The image is bright and clear. HD.

If you want high quality lights you should get them from https://dmpcardesign.com/mercedes-benz-c-class-w205/ as they have the HD version. The ones you may find on Amazon or Aliexpress may look good but they install with gaps.

I opened it. Fawwwwkin' Garbage! Biggest challenge I have is finding one with excellent resolution and heat sink.
Market is flooded with inferior stuff. The OE Mercedes are not very bright.

My OEM ones are super bright. I'm getting a couple of DMP ones with dual logos (dynamic) coming soon. They look good on the videos. Will see how they are. I would not trust the ones that cost a few dollars on the e-market places.

Got the DMP ones a few days ago. I got the same logo as the OEM ones and they are pretty much identical, i.e. very bright. They don't dim during daytime, they're either on or off. The OEMs haven't faded either after a few years. I don't think the new ones should fade either. The dual logo effect is pretty cool. My car is 2019. I can find the OEM part number if you really want. They are expensive though.

I did a quick search on Amazon and there are also review images showing the logo quality.
Nearly all the ones being sold today are "HD" using non fading glass logos.

The don't dim during the day. They're either ON or OFF. The part number of my OEM ones is A2478207403. My year is 2019.

2-part set on sale for $172.80 from the dealer. I'd like this logo but the wreath that @benzdude posted on Amazon is tough to pass on for that price...
