Cool Revision 1.02b - Release

MBWorld Members,

AMR Performance has been hard at work developing software enhancements on the Mercedes-Benz C450. We released our first ECU stage 1 software upgrade back in February 2016. Results were excellent and all our customer's were pleased with their vehicles performance. We could have left things there, but those who know us, know we are constantly hard at work to continuously improve our products.

We are proud to release our new ECU software revision 1.02b. This revision has been in development for quite some time and is finally available to the public.

The new revision further enhances the vehicles capabilities. Bumping horsepower gains from +65hp (revision 1.01c) to +106-110hp and torque gains from +105tq
(revision 1.01c) to +130tq. We also addressed the "dip" in the early torque band and horsepower dip at redline that is noticeable on even competitors tune(s).

Like all of our revision(s), those who are already equipped with our software get the upgrade for no additional charge.

Power Plot: (stock -vs- revision 1.01c -vs- *NEW* revision 1.02b)

Power Plot: (stock -vs- *NEW* revision 1.02b)

Digital Power Plot:

We will keep MBWORLD members as well as our fellow C450 enthusiast informed as we will continue to do products and software development on this vehicle.

ENJOY!

One question, does this tune eliminate the controlled backfiring and crackles and pops that the car makes during aggressive driving?

MBWorld Members,

We are proud to present our track results for our Stage 1 ECU Software upgrade (tune) using "Revision 1.02b".

On Sunday (06/26/16) we decided to take our Mercedes Benz C450 AMG to the drag strip. Every track we contacted had a race event. However, Lebanon Dragway stated they can fit in a couple cars for some test runs during their event. We piled up into the C450 and took the 2hr drive.

Once getting to the track, the rush was on! They announced test-and-tune to come to the lanes immediately so we had to suit up and get on the move.

The weather was not fun at all. Brutal 98+ degrees, at one point hitting 102ºF, sticky black top, icky heat, horrible humidity, second guessing the decision between pool and track. Conditions we would not recommend anyone racing their vehicle in.

We got into the staging lanes and immediately were moved up to run. The vehicle performance was amazing. Proving to us again that the C450 is an excellent platform. In the most extreme and harsh environment, the vehicle put down a 12.3et at 112mph. The excitement with this vehicle continues to fuel our staff. There is still some ET and MPH to gain. With slightly better conditions there is no doubt the vehicle can definitely shave another .15-.25 off the ET and gain an additional 4-5mph.

We have some gopro footage from inside the vehicle. We can post it later today.

Special thanks goes to:

F1 Motorsports
(www.F1MS.net) - The F1 team for coming out on a Sunday and enjoying an unscheduled day with us. True enthusiast and such a great spirited team.

Lebanon Dragway - For allowing us to make a test pass during an event day. Great track and really great down-to-earth people.

Great gains in the tune! I find the torque curve interesting in that it starts to drop at 4500rpm. Is there a way to extend that across the range? Also what boost psi are you seeing?

Congrats, 12.3 is impressive, and with no mods. Now if you could also get the car to turn on in Sport+ each time you would be a god.

Do you get spool noise from the turbos? I think that was mentioned in another tune. Since this appears to be more aggressive I assume you have this side affect?

Thank you for the dedication for the c450!

Does the tune affect the Comfort drive mode or only the Sport and Sport+ modes? I think it we be awesome if Comfort stayed stock and the tune only was enabled in Sport+.

I'm not super familiar with MB tuning.

But over in the Audi world, you can toggle tunes on and off. Now, this isn't exactly what you're asking for, but it is a start.

I came from the Subaru world where each of the modes is simply its own tune. You can tune each one independently then upload it. So you can make the E mode more economical while the S+ more more sporty.

I have a hard time believing this car is any different. But im no tuner.

Yes, we have given smoother response to eco-mode and comfort-mode.

They still respond the same as factory, just a smoother transition in vehicle response.

93 is hard to find in my area, what would happen if I put 91 in the 93 tune? Less power or would it cause issues?

In a case like that, we would recommend a 91 octane tune and putting 93 when you can.

Have you guys looked at the duty cycles of the injectors and fuel pump operation? I'd like a tune like this for my wife's car but IT"S GOT TO BE SAFE AND RELIABLE. NO BLOWN ENGINES OR TURBOS.
