C350e Malfunction Not Good News
I posted in the general thread for the C-class a couple of weeks ago but can now update you on the issue I have with my C350e. Having had my vehicle since mid November everything seemed to be going fine until until two weeks ago when I had a "malfunction" of the hybrid system.
After the car was recovered and I had a call from the MB dealer in Maidstone (who to be fair have been really good) to say that they had discovered water ingress into the charging plug...quite funny as I have never charged the car since getting it so its never even been open. This then expanded to the need to get some technical advice on how to proceed from MB Germany.
Lex informed me that as its warranty they can't tell me too much detail as MB won't tell them other than it needs a new controller and plug, after visiting the dealer yesterday I was informed that they are having trouble getting the parts and it may be a re-design on the system...so if you have a C350e it may be a recall at some stage.
