Vinyl mod and badge.. I know everyone will hate!!

Definitely remove the badges. I think most people agree they look horrible. The vinyl might look good by itself. Take some pics of the car with just the vinyl. It can be removed any time anyway.

It would have looked better if it was black instead of white, then maybe a thin white trim/line around the black part of the flag to have it stand out. Also yes, just find a great shop like others said and they will do a nice blend.

Does anyone know if cardinal metallic red paint code 996 is a double stage or 3 stage paint? The more stages the harder it is to match and blend and they may have to do a larger area to blend for 3 stage

post a picture of how big the chip is you keep avoiding it pick the size on the diagram if it makes it easier I just fixed my palladium silver from 2 rock chips one is virtually gone the other i will fix when the weather gets better. (it still looks ok but could use some work)
and palladium silver is very metallic looking the touch up paint comes out dark and it takes time to do yours will probably be in the same ball park to do

I might have said this already but you have got to address the wheels. The style is alright but the color is horrible. The c450 has the partial night pack on the top, you have the polished chromd on the front and sides, but the wheels are dull gray. That titanium isn't working IMO. I'm not saying go chromie hommie, but try a fully polished wheel to match the ground effects. Not machined either. If you do a bright polished wheel that pops, it would distract from the nic on your hood. Like Quasimodo's tailor said, "wear a nice jacket and no one will notice that hump".
I'm not even finished with my post and I'm thinkging about how those German stripes are not the worst thing on the car... It's the wheels! I hate them man. That color is so flat and doesn't match any of the cars details. The stripes are just like Ben Aflek in Batman v Superman... Not the worst part of the whole deal.

Gunga, have you asked around for a good detailer? Mercedes are known for having heavy paint with HUGE amounts of orange peel. Looking at your pick with the chip shows it extremely well. A lot of guys are doing what they call a paint correction where they actually move through the top layers of paint. It isn't cheap. I lease and wouldn't consider spending it, but since you own the car I'd say it's worth a look.

The only problem is in real life the side skirts and front lip are closer to the color of the wheels.. For some reason in the pics it looks like it's white or light silver.. Look at the pic with the rock chip and you can see the real colors better

How is this any better? Got the side sills all silver and notice I took the hood German flags off also..The car is going in to get the hood resprayed next week to fix the blemish.. Then it should be like new again... I'm sure someone here will hate the side sills though...if anyone hate them I'll pull them off right now!!!

Looks good. If the silver on the side skirt is good enough for and S class, it's good enough for a c450! I will again insist that it should be standard. Except for night pack cars, in which case they should be black. I wonder who the Teutonic bean counter was who said to spray them body color was.
