I would assuming 20-25% off msrp for 1 year old. 1st year is the worst for depreciation, that's why leasing is better on that front.

You asked for numbers and I don't know because I'm from Canada, but unless money isn't a factor I would say keep the car. Or else you would absorb the worst part of the depreciation... that of the first year.

Keep in mind the money you would throw down the drain by trading in + the extra money to fork out on the newer, better equipped car.

The question is : Is having these options worth a couple thousand dollars?

Then it gets better, you are looking at 2 years at that point (Nov 2017), so probably 30-35%.

Really if you are changing often or don't like to keep cars beyond warranty, leasing is good. At least we in Canada get really good residuals on leases. (45 month, 56% residual and that's model year end, 2016 model was 61% when they got released in the fall).

Audi's residual was horrible, like 36% after 48 months.

Its a car just drive it. HUD is nice and all but I find that annoying AF, had it too many times in Chevy and BMW rentals and it doesnt help. And navi is unnecessary, I find phones give way better directions than any native car navi. All i needed in my c450 was leather, pano, rearview cam, and lighting package. Everything else is just throwing extra money away. When I drive I want to experience the car and the road, I want as little technology as possible. I don't want to feel like I'm the puppet

That refresh is coming this fall. The C43 will essentially be the newer C450. 2018 is what I had heard before getting my car a few weeks ago. It's much sooner, it'll be a 2017 model released at the very tail end of 2016 from what I'm hearing.

I have every one of those gizmos and they're nice, but not nice enough to take a hit like that on. My take on options is to get as many as you can afford. I've never had an option package I later regretted buying, ever. But I've definitely had lots I regretted NOT buying when I was cutting corners to make a certain payment number and then lived with a bunch of blank dash plates for four years.

No MM package sucks because that screen with the huge bezel and little screen is staring back at you 24/7 but there is a company that makes an aftermarket unit that looks promising.
