Anyone had more defects in a single W205?
As per the title.. anyone had worse luck?
I think i might be up for an award for patience..
Perhaps this will make some feel a little better baout the odd thing that isn't quite right..
Here goes;
At delivery;
Front bumper kerb scuff underneath
Scratches to rear RHS corner
Scratches to rear bumper centre
Food product under drivers seat (kids dried biscuit)
Water bottle lid in rear door stowage
Fuel filler flap alignment NG
Within first 3 months of Ownership;
indicator multifunction stalk horrible noise when used (clack not smooth)
Boot floor panel fitment NG (S205) will not latch
Boot floor front panel broken moudlings support elgs to body
Rattles at rear seats (spare seat belt washer found under seat pad)
Squeaks at rear seats (parcel shelf bar, wagon)
Squeaks at Dashboard binnacle
Squeaks at front door panels (wood inlay panles)
Distronic plus shut down (4 associated errors)
Door handle courtesy light failures (all 4)
Wheel alignment NG causing wheel scrubbing
Wheels not balanced during realignment causing vibation... re balance required
Damage caused to wheels with defective alignment equipment at dealers 4off
Center console touch pad ceased to work (firmware update)
Wiper blade chatter (blade alignment NG)
Since ownig the car Nov 2015, 6 months, it has been at the dealer for 1 month collectively and perhaps 8 visits.....
Its with them now having the wheels repaired, ctr touchpad sorted and 2 of the front handle lights replaced..
I am speaking with the dealer principal as i am very close to ditching the car and getting another.. but i imagine the costs to change will be prohibitive....

It was a dealers car with a few thousand kms on it.
All the points "at delivery" were ID'd, raised and assured of correction ahead of delivery...
Either way the vast majority are factory defects (its an S205) so German built....
And for a single vehicle its the highest defect level i have encountered in 20 years of Auto manuf engineering...

Not minimizing your issues, although a used car that's been dinged up and offered for sale still dirty clearly hasn't been cared for. A more responsible first owner might have had some of that stuff sorted out already.
So the manufacturer defects are these:
indicator multifunction stalk horrible noise when used (clack not smooth)
Boot floor panel fitment NG (S205) will not latch
Boot floor front panel broken moudlings support elgs to body
Rattles at rear seats (spare seat belt washer found under seat pad)

Squeaks at Dashboard binnacle
Squeaks at front door panels (wood inlay panles)
Distronic plus shut down (4 associated errors)
Door handle courtesy light failures (all 4)
Center console touch pad ceased to work (firmware update)
Wiper blade chatter (blade alignment NG)
That's still a pretty long list, I agree. Hopefully once this chunk of stuff is handled it'll be okay. Squeaks are tough to hunt down and annoying as hell.

Yeah its good right
Biggest frustration has been the back and forth so many times to the dealers...
In fairness to them they have been very good (aside from the misses on vehicle prep, and the accidental damage to the wheels (bent pins on their alignment kit).. not once did i get a "their all like that sir"... they have been very understanding and apologetic..
Looking forward to getting it back end of the week, the B180 I have a s a loaner is.......
uninspiring..

I am hoping... that this round of issues is it..
I have experienced the majoirty of the known issues, my build date was after many of the initial problems, and being sourced from Germany, some of the US manuf issues are thankfully not impacting me..
I am fully aware there will be more minor issues with time, hopefully minor enough that they can be addressed within the standard servics..
Oh and as an aside, at 10k kms, i just did an oil change 3 months to go until dealership service.. it has quietened down the engine noticeably, the orginal running in oil was like dirty water..

This thread is making me nervous
I just ordered a C450 (U.S. build, since I am in Canada) , and am coming out of a 2012 C350 (German build) that has been virtually problem free. Probably the most problem free car I have owned, which included an 09 C350, 05 Acura TL, and various Hondas, Mazdas and Fords. I am so pleased with it, I am considering buying out the lease and giving the car to my son. I certainly hope my C450 doesn't suffer from the same issues listed here. I hope you guys get your issues sorted out.
