Need help with my TRUNK

Can someone help figure out why my trunk doesnt open anymore even i have the key fob in my pocket? I have to unlock the car before i can open the trunk. usually when doing groceries i just have to hold and press the trunk opener and will pop up.. is this something to do with my remote batteries or software malfunction. thanks

If your car has keyless go it should open with key in your pocket even if your car is locked. I do not believe there is a feature to prevent this.

There is a valet trunk lock in the glove box. Make sure that it isn't on. If it is on, the only way to open the trunk is with the physical metal key, I think

The only option left is a visit to the dealer

You should be able to open the trunk while car is locked..... Works fine for me

I've had similar issues with Keyless-Go with both the trunk and doors... My dealer said sometimes if you use the Keyless-Go to unlock and then lock with your key (or vice versa) it can reset some kind of sensor that detects Keyless-Go.

I would take a video showing the issue and bring it to the dealer since in case they can't replicate the issue while there.
