Bridgestone DriveGuard RF Tires experience anyone?

Has anybody here tried the Bridgestone DriveGuard All Season RF on the C-Class ? BMW 335i owners claim the ride is smoother, quieter, handles better in rough weather (wet/snow) and that they don't wear as fast as all other RFs (some owners riding over 25k miles, based on driving style and type of road of course). Although, they're not considered a "performance" tire. Price is 20% less than competition....sounds like a good option to Pirelli P7?

thought about them, but ended up switching to non-runflats, they are getting installed right now. If I was going to get new tires, I wanted something a little more attractive and performance oriented than the drivegaurds. I bought the new Pirelli Pzero all season plus, tire came out within the last year, and got them for only 645 PLUS a $65 mail in rebate from tire rack.

I switched from winter tires to DriveGuards a few days ago, and so far they're very impressive. Very little difference between them and a regular good-quality all-season tire. Obviously doesn't compare to a performance tire, though. There's a little bit more stiffness, but not enough to worsen the ride. Mind you, I have the base suspension. It might be more noticeable with a Sport.

The no-brainer is that we all have 30 days to figure out whether we want to keep them, so you might as well try them out. My main concern is what they'll be like in 5,000 miles, but so far the reviews are positive.

Do you still like the Bridgestones? I have to replace my stock continentals soon and seems like the easiest option.

Also interested. Had a Continental blow this weekend and the other 3 are nearing EOL anyhow.
