My car doesn't sound fast right now, but I'm looking at ways to make it look fast in the meantime. Last year Mercedes released their c450 dress up kit with some vinyl, front splitter, rear diffuser, and rear flics. I haven't been able to source any of these parts in the US, except through 1 eBay seller from Germany. Will these parts be available for US consumption? I am really gunning for the rear flics. I saw them on the CLA at the NY Auto show and they looked great.
I've also come across these front canards that look pretty good. Does anyone here have experience with the products from Airwing or Air Knife sold on aliexpress and eBay?
In carbon they are a bit garish, but I think in gloss black they would be a nice compliment to the rear vent flics.
The GLA45 front end has a peice that looks similar to the top brow of this kit.
Any thoughts?
I'm really not a fan of the front pieces but I too will likely get the flics, one member here has them and they really make the car's rear more aggressive.

That's actually pretty interesting I've never seen those. Got to see them in person but I would love a more low key mud flap because the full mud flap isn't really that nice looking.
It acts like a mud flap, keeping the fenders clean from road debris and tore shine. This style is becoming more popular on small SUVs and crossovers because they're less noticeable than traditional mud flaps. They probably don't work as well for off road use but they keep the heavy stuff off the paint.
Below are pictures of mine, factory fitted on Australian delivered C63S. Not sure if these serve purpose entirely as a mud flap, however, I have been told it was an easy fix by Mercedes so the tyres would pass complience in Australia. That's why some countries won't have them. I'm trying to source Carbon Fibre replacement at the moment.

These came as standard on my C250 with AMG Line too...

Are those located on the front or backs. It's hard to tell from the photos. What would you say the length is of each piece. I think they look great just in black.

They are on the rear wheel arch. Your car will have them if optioned with SA Code 776 .. part #'s for Left & Right below:
I just got these. I will install them later tonight.
I ended up getting the Honk Kong ones. The fitment looks right. The finish sucks though. You can see marks on the surface from the mold I think. I'm going to wrap it black before putting them on.
Before I mess something up, can someone tell me how to take off the mesh that sits inside the cove?
not sure I think those look better than just having the stock bumper. It removes some of the aggressiveness just to add a thingy to feel like you modded the car.

They aren't a complete eyesore either.
I think it adds some aggressiveness to the completely forgettable rear bumper.
For me it's more about having more black to break up the bumper. Anyway, it's only a "vent" in the way that mustangs have "vents" on the rear fenders. It doesn't actually open through the wheel well. I'll get pics up as soon as I get them installed.
The grilles come out pretty easily. Pry straight out from the top, then the middle, then the whole piece lifts up.
Then you put the whole thing back because the peice doesn't fit unless it's double side taped on top of the oem grille. I really like the look but the fitment is definitely wonky. Everything lines up well, but I really think it needs to be screwed on. I'm going to have it professionally done.

As far as I'm aware he is right, they are for having wider wheels and tires legally without having fender flares added on. But, I could be wrong and have always wondered what they are for. Ive seen them on the SLK and GLC in the US.
Ok, I have what may be a really stupid question. Where the HELL do you buy MB accessories for our cars?? As in if I go to Mercedes Me website and I click on accessories for my car and choose, say, all season floor mats or a license plate frame or a sunshade....
Why can't I buy these? Am I missing something? I don't get it.
PS Go easy on me with the responses, I am new around here!!
