Would very much appreciate you posting it (unless I missed it?). Determined to try to get to Dealer shortly - I'm having a hard time believing that HUD will be delayed beyond August production. MB has too much riding on the C Class to allow this - as I've said before they surely have dual sourcing - even if they have to switch priorities. But my company always kept customers in the dark when a production plant faced a catastrophe - so I'm not surprised at this point.
I do not, sorry. I've only ever asked for the Coupe guide because it's what I'm ordering.

jhillman posted it in another thread in this section, search for it yourself...I'm not going to waste my time hunting it down. The thread is literally titled something like "C43 Coupe Guide with full pricing". He posted it in this forum, the C Class Coupe forum, and the AMG C Class forum.
The guide says HUD available beginning with August production.
I got an email today from my dealer saying that he was able to add the HUD to my build today for a c43 sedan that was scheduled for the second decade of August.. Before today the system wouldn't let him enter HUD... Anyone else contact there dealer about HUD today to see if it can be added? Btw.. I'm in the USA and my car is most likely being built in Alabama.

It was my dads dying last wish that I could get HUD on my Mercedes.. It was in his will.... Anyone else check with there dealer today to see if they could add it in the USA? Or is my salesman lying to me?

Well I don't think he is spamming - He's trying to confirm the info, that's it.
Arnold, Are you kidding? Have you not seen his multiple posts for the past week asking the same question over and over again? When you keep asking the same questions over and over to a large group I would consider that spam.

Just have him send you a screenshot of the order details showing the HUD option and production dates from Netstar. That will be your proof.

Thanks Gungaslow for bringing it up. I have my dealer confirmed. - the HUD is added to my August build. Looks like he is not lying to you. Good luck!

See I wasn't spamming.. I was just staying on top of the situation to make sure everyone could get the HUD before there order got locked..I was just trying to get as much information as possible.. He told me he can't send a screenshot because the pricing isn't released yet..also he didn't give me a date just said the second decade of August..that's why I was trying to confirm with others.. Sorry to offend you guys.
In my experience the camera is definetely being used to detect signs.
When dynamic speed limits are shown above the road they are picked up by the camera also. It can even detect different signs under the speed limit signs.
When signs are not detected for a while, the system seems to fall back on data from the navi.
The recognition is limited to speed limits and signs that its not allowed to overtake.
I must say i am from the Netherlands so in North America the behavior might be different.

The North American systems use GPS for the speed limit info. They are distinctly different from the European systems in this regard.
I recently revisited the same video from Autobahn, and I have noticed the HUD is different than the current version on my car (2015 C300).[URL="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJQ1ZW7J0Uw"]
Is it revised? Also, the new S coupe had the similar HUD. And it was not an AMG version. I would assume this "revised" HUD on C43 was not displaying the special AMG content.

rearview cam has the feature to switch between 180 degree and the standard rear view.
