C450 VS GS350

C450 VS GS350
Something happen to me on Friday of last week
As I was getting on to the highway ramp i saw a 2015 GS 350 in front of me and as I tried to pass the driver floored his GS350 so I also floored it and would you believed it that i could not pass him and i was in S-plus mode
we hit about 140 mph and the GS was 2 cars in front..
now from what i know is that the GS350 has 306HP and my C450 has 360HP
so I do not know what happened to my C450 but it got Slaughtered..
I should of had my CLA 45

Taking the c450 to the drag strip soon, but I ran my friends stock m235 xdrive and I had about 2-3 cars on him from a 60 km/hr punch.

Now i can tell you that before my C450 shifted to the next gear it hit the rev limiter and it died for a few seconds then it shifted
that could of been the reason but who knows

C450 AMG
I had a GS350 in the past and there is no ECU mod for these cars because no one has been able to break into the Lexus computer so the best that the GS could of had is exhaust and cold air
Now i can tell you that before my C450 shifted to the next gear it hit the rev limiter and it died for a few seconds then it shifted

The c450 auto transmission will not hit the rev limiter in auto mode, so I'm not sure what happened.

C450, GLS 63 and a few other things
Possibly it was in manual mode? Then we have possible driver mod needed as noted....
PS - will be an interesting conversation with the dealer -- " I lost a street race to 140 MPH to a GS350, something is wrong".
Dealer notes: "Could not replicate problem".

It's not hard to mash on the gas pedal in auto. even if you were in one gear higher you would have probably done much better than what the op described.
Op sounds like an idiot. Unfortunately there's a lot of haters out there especially on the amg pl.

Amen. I'm not buying either. Based on my own driving experiences, a Lexus 3.5 NA engine - or Nissan VQ like my G35, or whatever - with more mid range, God forbid, top end punch than the boosted 3.0??
