Inline-6 mild-hybrid to replace all existing V6 engines
Mercedes goofed IMO because Audi has S and leaves RS for their more serious models. BMW still has M Sport and M, so there was nothing wrong with AMG and AMG Sport.

I have an idea on what they could do with the AMG Sport moniker, maybe create an "AMG-Sport package" which takes the sport package a bit further, includes night package, some more suspension tweaks, increased boost/engine output, maybe a sportier exhaust, maybe a tweaked steering wheel or seats with more adjustable bolsters.
Sounds like a pipe dream but they are in this to make money and I know plenty of people would go for it on the C300 or E300 since the only next step would be going "full blown" AMG.
The c class can't even fit a v8 without extending the length of the hood / front structure (c63 has a longer hood and front overhang). An inline 6 is longer than a v8. It probably wouldn't fit in the standard w205 so I'm guessing the glc , c43 etc say a v6 for a while
I'd guess the e class and especially s class have larger engine cavity so it won't be an issue.

The I6 will replace ALL V6 engines in every Mercedes-Benz. Clearly the C and GLC have room for an I6 due to the longer hoods and proportions than the previous C and GLK. The I6 is true and will happen on every V6 Mercedes.
Why on earth would Mercedes make an I6 for just the E and up and shaft C,GLC buyers with older V6s. Come on man think.

1) AMG car will have standard money factor
2) residuals on AMG cars are always worse due to the fact of a higher depreciation
3) C450 right now has a free $1800 cash from MB. For ease of math that free $1800 on a 36 month lease is $50/month.
I only will lease new luxury brands, not worth to buy and lose your you know what.
I did a rough conversion on a $60K C43 and C450 - the 2 will have a drastic lease price difference.
You will be looking at almost $200 more a month for a c43 vs the current c450.
Pay the price and enjoy the car. Work harder and earn them back! haha

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
It seems to be a hard decision to pay a premium for a C43 than a C450 on the lot. But I think I won't regret because of the extra goodies C43 has. It's like a debate when people were talking about C450 VS C400.
What I failed to anticipate was that the engine change in 2012 to the TTV8 was going to badly ding the 2010/11 desireability and value. Typically all of the post-facelift model years track closely together, but not when MB throws a major engine upgrade into the mix
Per the spreadsheet I needed to double up payments for two years to get out flush before CPO expired, which I did, and even then I was in the bucket several grand when it was time to dump it. It's a little easier on a new car but no thanks.
I very happily leased the C300 and let MB guess on the depreciation.
