Hey guys, firstly, my apologies if this comes across as the stupidest question ever asked here... but, where the hell is the dipstick to check the oil level on the 450!?

Opening up the hood, and even taking off the top cover on the engine, I couldn't find it...

And looking in the owners manual, the picture of where it's located, is a picture of the C300 engine, which is clearly not where it says it is in the picture in the manual.

Initially I thought it was the thing with the pink top... but I think that's to check the transmission fluid, no?

Yes, behind the engine on the slightly to the driver's side. I'm not sure if any recent MB has a transmission dipstick, think you need to remove the cover.

For me that handle wasn't a ring but a knob. It's bright orange in color. Exactly as Z28 pictured.
