Thumbs down 19" Pirelli P-zeros - only 14k miles

To all the W205 owners with the 19" summer tires--how many miles have you gotten out of your tires?

I have the Pirelli P-zeros and at 14k miles am having to get new steer tires. Something tells me the Pirelli steer tires aren't getting much life--the dealer had them on backorder

We'll see what the $$$ damage is on Tuesday next week.

.
These tires came on my car and I don't expect them to last long. I am already planning to replace them.

I think I read that you don't get more than 15-20K mi out of these tires.

The run flats, correct? Yeah they wear out stupid fast. The (don't remember the brand) 20" run-flats that came on my brother's GLA45 only lasted him 8,000 miles - And those are like a $400+ tire

I've read dozens of similar stories regarding RF's. I'm glad I had his example tip me off to research the matter. My RF's accumulated about 1,500 miles before they went in my storage room. They will remain there until it's time to turn the car back in.

The way I look at it, I'm going to buy and use the tires that I want, not some garbage performing & harsh riding RF's.

I got 15k from the 18inch oem continental all season run flats. Got michelin sport pilots (non run flats) and used one of the continentals on an aftermarket rim for a full size spare. I dont carry the spare unless i go on a long trip though because i have AAA

I switch between my 18" wheel set in the Winter, and my 19" wheel set for the Summer (about 10,000 miles a year total), so if I get two years out of each set I'll be happy.

Mine came with Pirellis 19 stock. Horrible tires. Not as bad as bridgestone RFTs that bmw puts on their cars. Going to swap these with the pilot sport A/S 3 plus pretty soon.

Pirelli tires stinky. Would replace with Michelins!
