C450 AMG Adaptive Suspension is stiffer in Comfort Mode than in Sport+ mode.

I purchased a C450 AMG about a month ago and can clearly notice that the ride is much stiffer in Comfort mode than in Sport+ mode. It is completely opposite of what I would expect it to be. Has anyone else experienced this with the AMG Adaptive Suspension? Thank you.

S+ is leaps and bounds stiffer than Comfort. I know this because I doze off in Comfort mode but S+ keeps me glued onto the road..and wakes me up on every little road imperfection I drive over.

That is exactly what I would expect. I have been driving it in S+ and find the ride to be comfortable, but in Comfort mode, the ride is very stiff. I took it to the dealer for a drive and the service foreman insisted that all AMG cars ride stiff. I said that I just had a BMW M3 and know that sports sedans have a stiff ride, but my point was that I was not getting the expected results when the setting was on Comfort, or Sport+. This morning, I downloaded a G-force app to my phone and verified that in Comfort mode, higher G-forces were felt when going over bumps than in Sport+. Thank you for responding.

Suspension stiffer in Comfort than Sport+

Hi there,I have a C450 and just had my service done yesterday. The tech updated my tranny software and fixed the jerky 1st - 2nd, 2nd - 3rd issues and also updated the adaptive suspension software.

My wife and I both noticed the Comfort suspension is now very firm, it’s like Sport+ and when we switched to Sport+, it felt more bouncy and soft. The update of the software reversed the settings!?!?

I did a search and found your posting and was wondered if you had it fixed since.
