GLC300 Loaner w/360 Camera
So I took my car in for some warranty work (door hinge loud cracking sound AND 4th attempt at fixing wind noise).
They offered me the GLC300 loaner and man...i wish it had been available when i was looking for my car.
The ride-height is not too tall, lots more headroom WITH the pano-roof and decent leg room behind my seating position, which was closer to the wheel than my C300 because i felt like i needed to be farther up to get a decent view (im 6'5" btw)...so this caused there to be more legroom behind me...really interesting.
Plenty of cargo space, cant beat the hatch.
It was a base-model but it had the 360 degree camera and front/back sensors! Hot damn that thing is useful. it gives you angles of all 4 of your wheels so you basically have no excuse to curb your wheels (which i've done to both my fronts![hammer](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/bonk.gif)

)
It was a really great system, looked pretty good even on the base COMAND screen, probably would look even better on the big one.
Not to mention, aside from some body roll, it drives REALLY well! If it had the sport package suspension, seats and steering wheel it would really be perfect. It already rides on 19's with run flats, and it is super smooth.
Really cant wait to see the AMG versions of the GLC, i'll definitely want to test drive the 43 and 63. they would make for one hell of a family car.
EDIT:
Also just noticed that it has the new 9sp. no wonder it kept starting in 2nd gear. even from ignition it starts in 2nd gear, you have to either put it in manual or in sport/+ to get it to try 1st gear.
I didnt notice anything more speedy or smooth with this transmission, however, so im not too bummed to go back to my 7sp.
However one thing i wish the 2015's had was the M button for manual mode...what a stupid feature to leave out. Finally you dont have to set your Individual Dynamic setting to Manual in order to get the car to stop going into D after a few seconds. Just hit the M button in any Dynamic mode and it will STAY in M until you hit the button again. Great feature, great for sportier versions of these cars down the road
Also base model brakes SUCKKKK compared to the Sport versions. and the steering feels less direct

yeah for 2016, you could get it without the multimedia package.
but for 2017, the cars require command in premium 3 on sedans, or premium 2 on coupes which both have command and a bunch of other stuff. i bet the GLC ends up with that same setup for 2017 actually
