Taking door handles apart

I'm doing some more vinyl on my car and I need some help. I am really not comfortable taking apart the entire door pull assembly just to get the chrome on the top of the handle off. I was looking and found a small Torx or Allen head is visible from the side, when you pull the handle out.
A few questions for those who know what they're doing please.
Is this the only fastener for the chrome part?
Can I get the trim off without removing the entire handle?
Is there a better way to dechrome my handles that I haven't though about yet?
Thanks in advance.

I'm not really sure what you're trying to do here. Are you trying to take off the chrome part only?
What I did was cut the vinyl at the line where the chrome meets the paint. If you don't want that, then you can just wrap it over the chrome. I don't see the need to remove the chrome part. You'd risk breaking it if not done properly.

There's also some glue it appears that holds the chrome on.

It's actually really easy to take the door handle off.

There's a rubber plug on the inside of the door. Take it off. Then loosen the torque screw, it doesn't fully come out so just loosen it.

Then pull the door handle out, then pull it backwards towards the rear of the car.

I'll try to find the article I used but it's quite simple really.

For anyone who has already vinyled their handles, how are they holding up? Any peeling back from the edges?

From the cars that I've worked on, I haven't had anyone report any issues with it so far.
