Hi Guys,
I'm in the market for a used W205 C-Class, there are many of them in my area Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. I'm not in rush and will wait for one that has airmatic package. I have already seen couple of them but I couldn't tell if they have airmatic suspensions or not, I only see the agility button which is standard on all the new C-Class models. If you have one with airmatic package could you please help me getting educated about that part and a picture will be very helpful.

And Oh! one more thing, what do you guys suggest? Sport or Luxury C300?

Sport...Luxury version looks like a Buick to me. Subjective opinion on my part : )

 

Other than feeling the ride during a drive or watching the height of the car change when choosing the agility mode the other tell tale is a ride height button near the COMAND controller which is like a car with an arrow pointing up.

 

Sport AirMatic, although they're hard to find. Not the Sport part but the AirMatic. Seems like few dealers order them for inventory cars. I ended up having to build mine. The wait sucked but I love the way the car rides. It was tempting to just take a steel suspension car then and there though.

 

So from my understanding and correct me if I'm wrong, the vehicle will have AirMatic mode in the agility selection ?

 

Yes. There's a selection available for Comfort, Sport and Sport + suspension in the Agility menu

 

Just look at the picture provided above that's the sign you want to look for. No need to actually get in the car and look for it in a menu, the button is the key.

 

the button named Agility is misleading when the car has airmatic , Agility is controlling shock absorbers damping way but airmatic is using air bags

 

That button Agility is misleading as it is not necessarly meaning airmatic feature , the second button under it that controls car height is the one proves that airmatic is there

 

Just wait till it breaks - big $$$

 

Go for a the Sport version. I have an AMG line you can basically install all C43 parts on it. Dats what I did. I am not sure about Airmatic as I dont have it on my car.

when i driving in Sport+ mode, i always wonder how come the car feels more stiff and bumpy,
also the light on that button is automatically turned on when in Sport+ mode.
