good lowring springs ( 2015 C300 / W205 ) AMG Sports Package

Hi Guy's,

any suggestion on lowering springs? I like the stiff ride as is but wanted to lower maybe 1.6 front and 1.5 rear.

do you guys suggest i should go with shocks and springs? or just springs will be fine. I'm bit afraid that it might mess up the ride but wanted to get forum opinion before i go with it.

It will be lowered on 19" AMG Multi Spoke Rims Front tires 225/40/R19 93y and rear 265/35/R19 94y

Thanks in advance

Are you in the AMG sport suspension currently?

Reason is most of the after market springs refer to their drop from standard.

The AMG springs are already 15mm or 1/2 inch lower than stock.

At 1 inch below standard the stock dampers won't be out of range...

Much more than that eg 2 inch and you'll get better performance from different shocks and modified bump stops... Or ideally coil overs.....

For springs only H&R sport (25-30mm drop) are are good road compromise on standard shocks... Depends what you are after....

Hi Shadwell,

yes I'm on AMG Sports suspension now.

I was thinking about getting the below H&R model springs they are 1.2in front and back drop. do you think with 1.2 inch drop I won't damage the dampers?

Pretty sure they are 1.2 off standard.. So 30 mm drop off standard....

As AMG is already 15mm lower these would add another 15 mm off from your current state....

If that's what you are after, they will be a similar match in spring rate as your current springs and therefore pretty well matched to the AMG shocks...

Summary they will work well BUT YOU ONL DROP 15mm from current state...

I ran these springs on my w204 c class and they were a great and cheap addition...

I won't bother in my S205 as it has the AMG pack and this is too similar to be worthwhile this time around...

All the best.

in that case i might just stay with current setup. 15mm is not much to waste $300 for

Do you still use the OEM shocks, any problem with them?

same question but I have the non sport package, if I do require new shocks as well, might as well get Coilovers :/. My goal is just to be lower not slammed lol. Probably need an alignment a week after install. Do the W205 use the pads as well? Suggestions on what number I should use? Lower the number the smaller it is or vice versa? Also will be on 19 inch square set up et idk lol

no need for shocks if you go only 1.2". I suggest cheaper route just get H&R Springs.

I'm selling my H&R springs for 2015-18 w205 models. I got a new ride so took off the springs.
pm me if you guys want it

I have been running Eibach PRO-KIT for about a year on stock shocks, i'd be biased if I said they are better the H&R springs since I work at Eibach lol but both are great springs IMO

Currently running 235/40/19 Michelin Pilot Spot 4S on Front and 265/40/19 Michelin Pilot Super Sport on rear.

Zero bounce after the tire switch at 36 PSI front 38 PSI rear

I work at Eibach North America but that’s odd, what part number were they referring to and when you say AMG do you mean AMG package or an actual AMG mercedes ?

I've been more than satisfied with my H&R VTF adjustable lowering springs. Good quality ride and more lowering flexibility than either H&R or Eibach Springs offered (In addition, Eibach gave me a 2 month Leadtime when I ordered).

I have Bilstein B12 on my C300 4MATIC. It's basically Bilstein B8 Shocks + Eibach Pro-Kit Springs combo.
It was a special order from Europe since they don't have it in stock in NA (they only had it for RWD)

I've never tried short springs + stock shocks combo, so I don't know.
(I think short springs + stock shocks combo will make the shocks wearing out faster)
I really like my current setup tho. It's quite comfortable for this kinda drop.

Hi, do these springs work on 4 matic? Which spring did you get? I have the same car as you, and thinking to lower the car.
