C300 2016 keyless lock question
My driver's door always unlocks when I approach the car. However, when I park, exit and touch the door handle, nothing happens. I touch everywhere on the handle, up to 10 times. Out of frustration, I use the fob to lock the door.
At first I thought it was related to my cell phone and fob hanging out together in the same pocket of my handbag. But today, I had the fob in my hand and cell phone in my handbag, it still wouldn't lock.
Whenever I show my husband, it always works. Why would it work/not work so randomly?
(Kind of embarrassed to take it to the dealer under warranty)

Touching the inside of the handle unlocks the car. Touching the dimple on the outside of the handle locks the car.
if you are doing this correctly then you may need a software update performed on the car.
the car should not unlock as you approach it. Ensure you do not grab the entire handle when attempting to lock or unlock.
