Window tint bubbles

Hello everyone. I recently purchased my first Mercedes. Its a 2016 C300 4Matic with all the packages except the lighting package. Love the car. Just installed the Dinan PB chip (loving that too). I also had the Windows tinted with Suntek 20% tint and the first time they had lots of tiny bubbles. There response was no tint is perfect so had them remove and re-install. Had it again and already, although better there is at least 20-30 tiny bubbles on almost every window. I assume this is not me being **** but a bad tint job. Can anyone please confirm that this is not normal. I think they are willing to remove and give me my money back but just want to confirm with some people that had had their Mercedes tinted to verify my suspicion. Any insight is helpful.

How long has it been? It cant take a week or so if the temp is mild. A nice warm day will often clear them right up.

Its only been a couple of days but the first round had similar tiny bubbles and they never went away and this was after multiple super sunny days in 90+ degree weather. I know the tiny bubbles will not go away. You can see some of them have tiny dust particles and others are definitely not going to fade. So this time I am not even going to bother and wait as they are the same type of bubbles. I do agree that some of the other bubbles I can see will go away the tiny bubbles will not. I am trying to gauge if these bubbles are common and acceptable as "just the way tint is". This is what they are trying to say to me and do not want to spent a lot of money on a nice car with an HA tint job.
Thanks for the insight!!

No bubbles on my SLK or GLK that did not go away in a few days. Suntek also as I recall.

There are probably a half dozen on each of my cars spread throughout all the windows. Im pretty particular so I note them all. The only place I expect to get bubbles is around the edges of windows with the matrix design. Otherwise there should be none or next to none.

A good tint operator will have zero bubbles in your window tints when using a quality film. I've experienced both and you really notice the difference when you get someone who is passionate about the quality of their work.

Having said that, most small bubbles won't cause any issues. If it's only cosmetic then it's definitely not worth getting the tint pulled and scraped since it's more likely you'll introduce scratches on the glass.

My gf got her c class tinted and also experienced similar issues with bubbles. There weren't very many, and they're quite small, but she will be getting the tint re-done for the 3rd time now. The manager said he was not happy with how his team has been handing the job, so he will be overlooking them this next time around. Any company who takes pride in their work will not give you any valid reason to complain.

If they're not willing to re-do a crap job, I would get a refund and go elsewhere. Although bubbles are common in tint jobs, they're definitely preventable.

Just curious how much a bubbly tint job cost you.

may i ask how much you paid for that "bubble" tint job?

back when i had japanese cars i used to get tints done from anywhere $100~$150. no name tints that always either peeled or had bubbles. but for $100~$150 i wasn't complaining much.

on my current benz, i actually went to the sole authorized tint shop in NY for Formula 1 pinnacle film. I paid over $400 for these. not a single bubble or imperfection. as a matter of fact they openned my door panels to properly install all windows. This was a methodical job, i was there watching the whole process.

i'm sure the film costs less than $100 for the amount used, but the workmanship was well worth the money.

That is why I always have the dealer do it. I had an E-Class for 15 years, and zero bubbles. My C-Class is 18 months old, and zero bubbles.
