Illuminated Star Who's got one on the C450?

Hey guys so the C450 AMG 2016 is the (W205) model? I'm trying to get that illuminated star installed but just want to make sure. Does anyone have one? How hard was it to install? Did it already have the correct harness? I'm planning on doing it myself the dealer want's to charge $800 for parts and labor.

I assume it won't be much different than w204.

Not my cup of tea.

Cool but is the C450 under the W205 title? And if so it should be compatible. Any thoughts guys?

The illuminated star option will fit any W205 (C300/C400/C450)...so long as you don't have the Driver's Assistance "Distronic Plus" pkg. It's a $550 option if you order your vehicle with it, but I've read posts where the owner would buy the parts cheaper on line, and install it themselves.

I ordered my old 2015 C300 with the illuminated star, but later I felt it wasn't worth the price since it only came on when the head lights would come on. It would have been nice it it would have come on briefly when you lock/unlock the car. Of course there're ways to rewire it to do so, but I didn't bother.

Awesome. Yeah it would be cool if it came on besides when you're driving around but I still like the idea. Mines not the distronic I didn't feel I needed it.

I wanted it but was talked out of ordering it by the dealer. I'm glad I did without it though. I'm in NYC and I hear they are the new favorite thing to steal. Apparently it's just a twist and pull then walk away process.
It looks pretty cool but only if you are seeing it head on. Otherwise the lights get lost behind the star.

That's funny, my dealer talked me into it. I'm glad I got it. It's just something extra to stick out from the crowd.
