Hi everyone,

I bought a C300 4Matic 2016 car which experienced an accident from front before.

The problem is that the Alarm Siren goes off intermittently at about 5 seconds interval. Sometimes once a day and sometimes once in two days.

It is embarrassing and annoying.
I have read in different treads that the problem could be from the Alarm Siren battery leaking.

I tried to locate the unit in both sides of the front wheels under the cover with no success.

Could someone please guide me to the location of the Alarm Siren in this type of model.

hm, mine sounds the horn when the alarm goes off. Do you mean the alarm module or do the 16's have a different noise when the alarm goes off?

Here's the details of the alarm siren. Not sure if that'll get you what you want. You'll need to remove the rear liner section on the right fender to see it.

Silly question, but why not get this sorted under warranty if it's a 2016 car?

Sounds more like someone who wants to know how to disable the alarm for other purposes.
If it goes off every day you should be able to hear where the sound comes from.

AN UPDATE...

Thanks for the replies,

When the alarm sound, I went out of the car and heared that the sound coming from left and right side behind the front bumper.

Went back home and found that the sound coming from both the horns!!!
Disconnected the horn connection and temperory solved. Currently without horn!!

I am from Oman, I have imported the car from the US, so I don't know if the car warrenty is valid here.

The question is why does it happened?

Nothing in the factory system should cause that. Perhaps someone installed an aftermarket alarm with a shock/vibration sensor that is set too sensitive.

Don't the lights flash when this happens as well?
