So i thought of putting the whole armytrix exhaust system but should i put on a catpipe and a catalyc converter and a front, mid pipe and muffler or is it already good enough with just a new armytrix front, mid pipe and a new muffler?

For your information the C 300 im in is a 2.0 L 4 cylinder inline engine with a turbocharger

I would like the car to crackle or sound wet and dirty

I think you'll find some think the C is the holy grail and above mods. I found a set of flow masters sounds good. They have a nice deep tone without overpowering sound. You can pull one resonator to make it a little louder if that's what you're after.

Go with AWE. Armytrix is overhyped and overpriced especially for a 4cyl.

Swapping the mufflers to magnaflow straight throughs adds a burble and tone and adds to existing cracks and pops in S+, but is not ricer loud... (thankfully for me)..


If you are after obnoxius loud a Weistec DP and any straight through will do it..


Note:- the drone will be bad at 2k rpm ie highway cruising.. dynamatting the crap out of the trunk floor helps alot but will not remove..

@jatt143 are there any droning sound when you are on the highway with the AWE system? I'm actually looking at this exhaust system.

Yes even the switch path exhaust has drone sound at high RPM but under 2k rpm, comfort mode and audio on you can't tell.

I have a Armytrix exhaust and a downpipe.
its extreamly loud, like cant even belive how loud, its bmw m4 loud and I am very pleased with it.
there is a drone but on a highway but with music is ok. For everyday driving its in s+ so there no drone.

also the upshifts pop is crazy loud and sounds like a machine gun
