Mashed my wing mirror
So on a tight manoeuvre today I've managed to smack my passenger side wing mirror on a bar protruding from an HGV trailer, resulting in paint damage to the outer shell and smashing the clear LED indicator housing.
Does anyone have the part number (UK car, RHD, S205/MY14) for the LED indicator/lens as I'm hopeful I can replace that easily and then have a paint shop sort out the paint damage to the mirror cap/case. I'm hopeful I can find this cheaper online than the dealer.
Also, any tips on how the mirror cap and indicator comes away/apart would be gratefully received.

Remove glass by gently prying it outwards from the top, it should snap right off but it might feel like it will break Before it does ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Then the housing is attached by three or four plastic tabs behind the glass, pull housing forward (cars direction) while disengaging the tabs.
The indicator is mounted with two torx screws, remove and pull indicator and housing apart.
I have two new silver color indicators lying around, if you have silver color I could sell one to you, 50% off?

Yes I have silver. Thanks for the reply. Will they fit a RHD car? How much do you want for the passenger side indicator/lens?
is it possible to get the housing apart with trim tools rather than risk smashing the mirror glass?

Thanks for the offer Vic, I spoke with my local dealer today and they can source the indicator part for £50 and colour codes mirror cap for £60 so I've placed the order with them as it's easier and local pickup.

Despite the chilly temps the new indicator and cover is on and looking factory fresh. Thanks for the tips on the mirror glass, popped right off easy as you please. Easiest diy job ever.
